Goodbye

Dear diary,

I can't say it often enough. I'm so thankful for my family. There have been many moments in my adult life that I doubted everything, was insecure and without a life purpuse other then my childeren. Now I have a wonderful family who support me in my job, who love me and are there for me whatever I choose to do. I'm thankful.

My husband is my rock. He did every step of our hard way with me. We have had our depts but we are still going strong together. I'm so proud at him and don't want to live a day without him.

My boys... They fill me with love and proud. I just want to give them love and learning experiences that I never had. I would have loved to teach it to a daughter but it felt like a mission to teach my sons that their future wifes and daughters have rights and a life besides taking care of childeren.

Diary, I'm thankful and I will life my whole life saying thanks for everything.

Christmas

Dear diary,

We love celebrating christmas! We didn't do that much when I was a child. But I love to give my childeren something better. They surprised me with new seeds before christmas because they are so thankful for me to make it specail. I was so touched!

The next day it really was christmas. We decorated the tree together, even Izzy came looking what all the fuss was about.

The presents where all very appreciated.

But my family had another special surprise for me! A chickencoop with three chickens! I'm so blessed with my family.

Rafaels 12th birthday!

Dear diary,

My second son is already a teenager. We now have two teenagers in our home. We are getting used to it but I still found it unbelieveble that I'm a mother to teenagers. Time has flown by. Before I know it I will be 40!

Rafael is such a sweet and creative boy.

He loves working out just like his older brother Daniel. They do a lot of things together but Daniel loves books more while Rafael loves to do creative things.

We also celebrated thanksgiving. It was so nice to have us all around the table saying things to be thankful about.

Ismael and Manuel are very happy with our kitten Izzy. They adore her.

I'm thankful for being able to work more and take care of my garden. It looks beautiful and we are saving for a green house.

Manuel's 4th birthday

Dear diary,

My youngest son is already four years old. I have to admit that I waited for this day. It's nice to be done with toddlers and have finaly some me time during the day. But I love my little Manuel and it's sad he is already this big. I can remember so clearly when he was born. I cherised these four years with my little boy.

Lukas baked him a blue cake, Manuel was so excited!

We bought him a kitty for his birthday. He loves cats so we thought this was a nice gift for him.

He is totaly in love with little Izzy. She is a sweetheart, very curious and friendly to all of us. We already are seeing these two bonding. They play together all the time.

7. What do they argue about?

Charlotte and Lukas argue not very much. It mostly happens when Charlotte is insecure about something and doesn't say it right away. Then Lukas is like 'what is wrong? what did I do?' until Charlotte says what's going on. It's one of the things that she got from her childhood as the eldest being in charge of little brothers and siblings and without proper attention for her own emotions.

16. What would they consider quality time?

Just hanging out on the couch or, eating together. Since Lukas loves to cook they often have a big diner they will enjoy together. Going out is not necessary when you married a cook.

42. Have they ever been jealous?

Because Charlotte might be insecure from time to time, she is sometimes jealous when a other woman gets attention. But Lukas always knows how to show her affection so it fades soon.

Family portrait

Dear diary,

We made some new family photo's! So exciting to have new photo's of our little family. I feel so blessed with my husband and my four sons. I couldn't be more happy.

While we waited for everyone to be ready. My eldest and youngest started playing together. Sometimes it's rough having a teenager in my home but moments like these melt my heart. He is so sweet with his little brother. They differ 9 years but that doesn't effect their brotherbond.

Daniel asked for a soccerbal recently and he has been playing a lot. Rafael likes to join him and wants to learn to play soccer too, just like his older brother.

There was also sad news with the death of my grandfather. We didn't see them much but I grew up to my grandparents living around the corner. I saw them often and I love them both very much. I'll miss my grandfather.

It was weird to go back for the funeral. I don't visit my family often. We differ to much about modesty, birth control, genderroles and so many more items. I just can't do discusions about this over and over again with my family. There are some brothers and sister who don't follow their rules that much either. They are the ones I keep in touch with a little bit. And ofcourse my twinsister, Lucy. But our lives are completly different. She has seven childeren already.

Daniel's birthday

Dear diary,

We moved! We have been living in our home for 4 years now. We moved in when Ismael was just a little baby and since then we had another little boy, Manuel. We outgrew our home a little bit, with three sons going to school in the morning we needed an extra bathroom. And some more space for the childeren to have their own little corner was also on our wishlist.

We found this two story house with five bedrooms and a study. It has one big living area with the livingroom slidely lower. We now have a little corner for the diningarea. Lukas loves it, in our first home we didn't have a diningarea so he was so happy in our old house to be able to have a diningtable. And now he has an area to create dinerparty's.

Downstairs is also the study and our masterbedroom. Upstairs are four bedrooms for the boys. They each have one of their own now and they are all very happy about it. And they have two bathrooms upstairs. In the loft is also a playarea for them. And you can look from the loft into the livingroom and the kitchen. It's very nice.

We also have a huge backyard. The childeren love playing outside and I can expand my garden even more. After we saved some money because all of it is currently in the new house.

The first birthday in our new home was Daniel's birthday. He is already 12 years old! My first teenager! I can't believe my baby boy is already this big. I remember him being a baby like it was yesterday.

He is such a bookwurm and very smart. He already has plans to go to college one day. I'm so proud at him!

A special diner

Dear diary,

Lukas is a important cook at the restaurant he works at. The childeren are always asking him if he could make a diner at home like he does when he is working. Lukas recently took the change when we had something special to celebrate.

We all dressed up, even little Ismael. He had his own little diner before ours. Lukas really overdone himself. He made a three course diner for us, a salade, then the main meal, and for desert applepie. It was so incredible delishes!

And the boys where very excited with our news! They will have another little brother or sister soon! I'm due in six months when Ismael will be two and a half years old, Rafael will be 7 and Daniel 9. We are so thankful to recieve a fourth child.

Lukas and I did agree this would be our last child. We will be 29 and 32 when the baby arrives. So by the time he or she will be 18 we will be 47 and 50 years old. We would love to have time for ourselfs to travel before we grow old.
