Sophia is one bite into her blackberry pie when a stranger helps himself to the chair across from her and immediately launches into a conversation.

His favorite flavor is whatever she likes? If this is his favorite flavor, there's not much else she can do but give it to him. Ready as she is to dig in, she will have more chances in her life to eat pie than this human man, so it's only right to give him the chance in her stead.

(...But...but she only just started eating, though...)

"...Here...you can have it..."

Sophia slides her barely touched pie over to Luke and walks away, quietly mourning it.

Luke was all too eager to greet new students. Well, with half the student body elsewhere, somebody had to make the place lovely.

“Hey.” Luke leaned against the wall of the corridor, a charming smirk on his face. “You’re new, right? I can show you around town if you’d like— great spots for dinner, if you catch my drift.”

The suddenness of his approach made Grima freeze in her tracks. The smile and the bit about dinner made a burning rage flare up inside of her, disgust seeping into her very core. Where did humans get off on speaking to her? Where did they get the gall? Swallowing the urge to bite into his throat like a wild beast she instead gave a short laugh, holding her books close to herself as she gave her response.

"Indeed I am new. What a bold approach you have. Offering to take a woman to dinner without even knowing her name or offering your own?" She said, walking closer to speak to him properly. Internally, she felt like gagging. "Though dinner does sound nice... I'm Robin. It's a pleasure to meet you."

A pause.

"And might I ask what your name is? Or will I have to tell my friends that I met a mysterious charmer today?"

Some people got the wrong idea about flirts. See, just cause he could appreciate many different ladies didn’t mean he thought they were all the same or something. No, every line from Luke was fresh made, custom ordered for the girl of his dreams!

And sometimes someone was so gorgeous he almost tripped over his own feet.

Luke, in fact, walked right by Lyn before Realizing the kind of person he’d just bypassed. He rapidly walked backwards until he was in front of her, his best smolder in place.

“Do you believe in love at first sight or should I walk by again?”

Okay, sometimes he custom recycled a line, but it was the thought that counted! And better to be efficient, right? It wasn’t his fault he was nearly struck speechless by her.

Lyn heaves a beleaguered sigh and rolls her eyes. How many hundreds of times has she heard that one before? And shouldn’t he know better by now than to turn the same lines he uses on every girl on her? “Really now, Sain, how many times have I told y-”

Wait, hold on just a moment. That’s not Sain’s voice. Lyn takes a proper look at the offending flirt. He’s certainly a green knight, but not her green (former, she has to remind herself) knight. They’re definitely cut from the same cloth, though. The momentary swell of affection in her heart freezes over and she glares at him. “...And who are you, that you speak to a stranger with such a loose tongue?”

Oh Mother Mila, this is getting worse by the second. It’s one, expected thing to have rumors about him and Python spreading, but an erroneous notion of his sexual orientation is the last thing Forsyth needs in the gossip mill. Not only will Python tease him relentlessly, but he doesn’t want to lead any ladies astray! He still carries guilt from when he broke the butcher’s girl’s heart back in the village, when he was trying to find himself.

“W-wait!” Forsyth’s parry is sloppy, and he suffers a glancing hit. He staggers back, trying to gain some distance from Luke as he formulates some way to right this misconception.

“You are once again mistaken, I’m afraid. I’ve no interest in women at all--romantically, I mean. I’ve many female friends, but, erm. M-my inclinations of the heart are not directed towards them.” How did this happen? Why does Forsyth have to come out to a flirtatious bisexual clone of his younger self? Is this divine punishment? “I apologize for the confusion.”

“This is not a slight against you! You are a handsome man, to be sure, and I am certain you will find a man or woman who returns your advances! I am just not that man.” Forsyth readies his own stance, nodding towards Luke. It’s fine. It’ll be fine, this will get cleared up and it’ll be an ordinary morning spar. “W-well then!”

Forsyth feels his nervous energy release like a spring, charging Luke with a swiftness that surprises even himself. He collides with the young knight head-on, a bodily tackle that puts him in perfect range of a lance thrust. A reckless move, one that Sir Clive tried to get Forsyth to swear off, but in the heat of the moment it came to him naturally.

Reason and Faith band together to put on this month’s special seminar: the history of tasseomancy! You will be learning the “magic” behind divination and how the old masters used the remains of tea leaves and coffee grounds to predict future events. Just in time for the moon of love, you will all be divining your romantic futures from a delicious cup of white rose tea. [Grants Reason or Faith +1]

From the moment she first picked up a fairy-tale as a little girl, Deirdre fell in love with the idea of love.  The fair maiden, the cursed princess, the damsel in distress fated to be rescued by her one true love became her dream.  In her loneliest moments, she imagined herself being whisked away by a knight on a white steed.  The fact that she was strictly forbidden lest the world be brought to ruin made it even more enticing.

She has known the predicted future for her love life since she was old enough to understand.  It was never the happy ending promised in the pages of her story books.  She should not need tea leaves to tell her this but maybe in this second chance at life, things might end up better.  She has to hold onto that hope!

Deirdre does not even pause to think before signing up for the tasseomancy seminar.  Tea with a friend, romantic predictions...she cannot imagine a better way to spend an afternoon.  She arrives early and takes a seat at an empty table to begin brewing the tea before a partner makes their way over to join her.

Luke hadn't planned on trying to flirt with anyone, but he also hadn't planned catching sight of Serra. He knelt down, petting a couple of the stray monastery cats, smiling as he scratched between their ears and let them come close. He scooped a tabby cat up and made a meowing noise at it, laughing as the cat meowed back.

He looked up, aware he was being watched.

Ah.

Pink. Was that a heal staff? Healer. Yes... yes.

"I was just about to say this cat was the cutest thing I'd ever seen," Luke smiled at Serra, charming as ever, "...but that was only true until I saw you. Name's Luke, the greatest and bravest of Altea."

Serra’s spending another afternoon under the warm sun of the monastery where she sees him — a boy. Tall-ish, green hair all pushed back — he has this energy, sort of like Sain but also, way way more put-together than Sain. ( That’s what she feels at first look, anyway. ) And he’s holding an adorable cat, and saying...!

She smiles, widely, totally charmed at the compliment. It seems Saint Elimine has heard her prayers about finding a gentleman here at the monastery, because here is one, that sees her beauty and comments on it, as all good men should!

“Serra. I serve House Ostia.” She still did, technically, being here on orders, and all that. “Lord Luke, is it? You’re a warrior?”

Woah! It worked! Luke remembered to close his mouth after a second, getting his composure back enough to do a knightly little bow complete with a flourish.

“Bold and daring, that’s me! Name’s Luke, you might have heard of me if you study Archanean history. Me and King Marth go back. Saved the world and all that.”

He was doing so well, he got even cockier as he straightened and offered his arm to Robin, winking.

“Your friends are more than welcome to come too, but I’ll understand if you want the Luke to yourself.” He couldn’t believe his luck. Considering her stature, even a built guy like Luke could get squished like a bug if she tried hard enough.

Oops. He needed to not get smitten just yet.

“So tell me what you like… regarding places to eat.”

"King Marth you say?" Grima knew who Marth was. Though Luke's desire to impress her by mentioning him had the opposite effect. Frustration curled inside of her as she thought about the king. When Luke offered his arm it took all she had to take it without snarling. She linked her arm with his and chuckled quietly. The chuckle came from both a place of irritation and minute amusement. Humans may be repulsive but they, at the very least, are audacious.

"Well, Luke. I've yet to try Fodlan cuisine yet. I'm not picky when it comes to food either. Fish, meats, vegetables, fruits." She said, giving honest answers. She truly wasn't picky. Eating actual food was a relatively new concept to her. She wasn't exactly used to having a human body just yet.

"You know... I do like meat pies. It has been a while since I've had one..." If he was going to flirt with her then she would make the best of it.

He tried on the vial of cologne from the sun shaped bottle, impressed with the luxurious scent it contained. He knocked on Ophelia’s door and when face to face, he grinned.

“Soooo, has fate tied us together once more? I’m wondering if you’re perhaps my secret gifter- good taste, good taste if you are.”

THIS TIME, THE SHADOW BENEATH THE DOOR certainly belonged to luke!  the first knock at her door was a classmate seeking the tome she had borrowed in their first class.  but no, this knock was heavy and fitted for a hand like luke’s.   (   lest she just identify as delusional!   )   so, eager and swift, ophelia bounds up to her door and pulls it open with an excitement that brightens her expression.  and truth be told, for the man before her is none other than luke!

his grin is shared with one of her own,   “   i applaud your skills of detection!  yes.  it is i; your winter envoy!   ”   gloved hands rise to cover the bottom of her face, where there is an attempt to muffle her gigging.   “   it took you quite the time, did it not?  the beast of impatience had almost won its war within me!   ”

gray eyes stare down at the dagger sheathed to luke’s hip.  her pride swells at the sight!   so much that she almost forgets to flash him her signature ‘ can you tell i’m odin dark’s child ’ gesture!   “   do tell me how well each of my gifts strengthen your skill of capturing the gazes of potential suitors.   ”
