i need flowers.” he grins, eyes forming crescents as he leans over the desk. “or maybe not.” of course he doesn’t need flowers, sehun hasn’t bought flowers for anyone since he was fourteen and his mother forced him to buy a bouquet for his teacher that had helped him pass math. of course, luhan wouldn’t know. they had only known each other for what-- a few weeks? it’s not often that sehun gets to make new friends, schedules eat him alive and forces him to sometimes be away from home for more than a month. so naturally when a new friend comes along, he usually tells them about his busy life.

 today however is a day off and he wasn’t planning on spending it alone. “and i owe you coffee for that one time when i forgot my wallet so i’ll wait until your shift is over. it’s not debatable, luhan. you already told me yesterday that you get off work in fifteen minutes and clearly i’m bored so you’re coming with me.”

“Luhan, you do know you’re the best right? I’ll crash on your couch until tomorrow. I’m sure by then, they’ll have gotten rid of whatever it was that’s there. I just can’t..” He shakes his head, a full body shiver causing him to shake. He couldn’t even mention what it was. It was too big, it flew, it hopped. It looked like some weird hybrid between a bat and a rabbit. He didn’t want to remember it. He didn’t even have any memory of how the damn thing got into his apartment. He was on the 10th floor!

Judging by that grin, it was safe to assume that Lu Han was amused at the warm welcome. Who knew that canine had a thing for flowers just like her siblings did? Normally, Kyungsoo would ignore, holding back the pup as much as he could so they wouldn’t be afraid of it. “Honestly, I’m too indulgent to care either,” he admits with a sigh. As fatherly as it could get, he allowed the ball of fluff to mull over his guest’s feet, ready to pounce on one stem that hung low enough for a paw’s reach.

   chanyeol had been bedridden for at least a week now and refused to admit it to anyone. he didn’t  want to see the concern or pity in their eyes. he just wanted normality. being sick was not going to give him that, so he kept his mouth shut about it. he’d only go to work when he felt as if the world weren’t just a blurry mess he’d stumble his way through. but even then, there would be the complications of keeping himself from burning up or moaning about the room being too hot when the AC was blowing at max speed.

really, he should’ve seen this coming. he messed up. he and luhan had planned their weekly meet up on a day that he was feeling the absolute shittiest, but he had to play it off. he couldn’t. the moment he had sat down in front of luhan, his vision went blurry for a second and that was a second too long for luhan to not notice. he could hear the questions, could hear the lecture he’d get for not taking care of himself the way he was supposed to.
