Everyone had left the party. She was by herself. For the first time since Corey passed. Everyone had told her to smile, celebrate life not death. Luna knew she couldn't do that. She held onto the bottle of absinthe, swishing around the green liquid. The high and buzz wore off in a second once everyone left. She needed time, she needed to mourn, she just needed someone who would talk to her. Really talk to her, not tell her to just get over it. She couldn't, she couldn't feel Corey's sadness. How is it when she couldn't? She opened up her power to everyone in the house and yet Corey slipped through the crack.
She still had the Vicodin from her accident. She put a pill in her bra just in case pain would come back. And fuck did it. It was more her heart than anything. She put the pill on her tongue, looking up at the sky. She quickly downed some of the drink and the pill. She just needed to be numb. No one understood what she was trying to tell them all. Corey was more than just another girl to Luna. She was one of the only people she got that protective over. She was someone who won her heart so quickly. She wasn't just another girl.
She let out a sigh, feeling the tears falling on her hands. She stood up pacing around on the roof. This is where she found Corey that night. She swore she could still see her small little body standing on the ledge. Luna threw the bottle at the door. She hated everything about this, she just wanted Corey to be back. Nothing would change that, nothing could change that. Corey was gone. Luna sat alone on the roof, crying her eyes out, wondering if anyone would try to find her.
