Cool cool cool. I’m pretty sure it’s never mentioned in the novel, nor do I think I’ve seen it in any gifsets from the live-action show, so...
as is my wont, I’m gonna average the canons in such a way as to deliberately achieve what makes me happiest. In this case: Among the main cast, a red ribbon in the hair seems to be only a Wei Wuxian thing, even though it’s generically lucky and the Wens specifically are red in their color-coding. If you wanna get really fun, figure that maybe a red ribbon in the hair or sewn somewhere on the clothing is a common thing for the lower classes - a dash of lucky color to brighten your day and wardrobe! So it’s a passive-aggressive thing for Wei Wuxian, a refusal to let anyone forget that his father was a servant (though really, he probably wears it because his mother always tied his hair with a red ribbon.)
So even if it’s not uncommon culturally, we can safely assume that for 14 years, if someone put a red ribbon in Jin Ling’s hair, Jiang Cheng would snap at him to pull it out, not bc classism so much as Jiang Cheng has a reliably 0 tolerance for things that make him think of his brother. Jin Ling wouldn’t think any more of this until, oh, who knows how long it’d take him to notice that Wei Wuxian always has a red ribbon tying back his hair. (Not that long, I like to think - gimme a Jin Ling who’s secretly fairly observant of fashion and the implications thereof. It’s that Peacock heritage + like the only thing he learned from Jin Guangyao.)
So post-canon, Jin Ling just starts casually adding a red ribbon to his own hairpiece, silently daring anyone to comment. An extra dash of color to liven up his gold and white Jin Sect Leader robes (in addition to the lavender tassels on the Jiang clarity bell at his hip.)

I know its been a while since you asked this (sorry about that, working through them all, but don’t worry, part of the reason its taking a while is that you’re all getting as comprehensive as an answer as I can give you because that's what you all deserve! so thank you for your patience with me c:) but I’m pleased to announce the lyric questions have been edited for ease of consumption c: But I would love to elaborate on the second question! I know a lot of us have different ways of answering these quizzes, especially more elaborate ones like MBTI and enneagram personality quizzes, and while I can’t say anyway is better than another, I can give you some tips on how to get the most accurate results on my quiz specifically! For one, some questions will be hard. You won’t exactly agree with one answer or another, a lot of times you’ll think “well the situation is more complicated than that” etc.. Those are the questions that are important. Basically, I can’t ask you to explain your entire perspective on determinism or fear to me, because I made a uquiz, and am not a therapist. But, since the houses are sort of a quadrant break down of key elements of just beliefs people have, Picking The Closest Answer To What You Believe even and especially if you don't believe it in its entirety is what helps the quiz algorithm understand what house you are. Other than that, I’m a person who swears by “read through all options, and then go with your gut.” But texting a screenshot to a friend never hurts if you feel truly stuck in that deep consideration between two or three options. ohohoho, let me see pffft. Of all the main kwamis Wayzz would definitely be Felix’s favorite considering his temperament and that they’d just click personality wise. Which is a little disappointing in the fact he can hardly see the tiny god cause he doesn’t visit Fu at all if he doesn’t have to. That being said tho, Duusu is more than capable of inviting Wayzz over cause while he’s a little indignant that Felix seems to favor Wayzz, he really can’t be blamed cause the turtle is so chill and makes for good company.
Whenever Wayzz comes over Felix serves tea, the apple juice martini for Duusu, and some cherry tomatoes to absolutely spoil him. Wayzz isn’t really someone to seek attention like Plagg or Duusu and the turtle DOES deserve extra love if i have anything to say about it :,DDD
He’s sensible and offers Felix any words of advice/encouragement. The only people Felix really gets that from is his sibling, which he has to and even then its not that Felix doesnt trust Adrien but would rather not put his problem on his sibling. and then the other kwami in their possession but their responses to his problems are unorthodox at best. With Wayzz, he’s unbias and can be trusted to give some rational thoughts on a matter even if its Felix that needs to get his head on straight

there's a post on tumblr that talks about how HIMYM almost completely faded from public consciousness after their disappointing finale aired, because audiences felt betrayed by it. Given Voltron's track record, I feel confident that the exact same thing as going to happen and that VLD will faded into obscurity once s8 has aired.
HIMYM didn’t fade into obscurity. To this day, it still haunts me - mainly because it took a story from the romantic comedy genre and created a romantic tragedy.
But actually, HIMYM’s terrible ending also haunts the show’s EPs. The EPs were signed on to do a sequel, called How I Met Your Father. After the terrible backlash of HIMYM’s ending, studio execs demanded revisions to the pilot. The EPs refused, and the studio dropped the project.
The EPs shopped around to find no takers, and since then, they have tried to restart the show three times. In the last attempt, they promised to abandon all previous HIMYF scripts and produce an entirely new show.
Still - there are no takers.
Here’s the thing - I don’t think DreamWorks is going to let VLD just fade into obscurity. By the time I saw the trailer at one P.M., VLD was already trending number one on Tumblr. For a trailer. She-Ra? On its release date, it only reached number four on Tumblr.
Be on a look-out for SacAnime, Jan. 4-6. Though currently only invited as guests, the VAs for Shiro, Allura, Zarkon, and Axca were confirmed back in October. Lotor’s VA was just added this month. Let’s see if Voltron gets a panel.
Just because the EPs have “moved on” to new projects, doesn’t mean DreamWorks will abandon this obvious cash cow. Since HTTYD got two series and three movies. Boss Baby has two movies and a TV show, and Trolls, Kung-Fu Panda, and even Tales of Arcadia, have expanded their franchises - I can’t say for certain, but I’d say the DW Voltron Franchise has only just begun.
hey, i get what you're trying to accomplish with this blog, but wouldn't higher quality pictures help you to be taken seriously a lot more? Lolita is a fashion, which is very much based on appearance. I find lots of good tips on this blog, but the grainy, blurry pictures are very offputting and suggest that your advice is questionable instead.

This is an extremely valid point, and I’m actually quite surprised that it’s taken three years for someone to bring that up!
I don’t really talk about my personal life on this blog, but there are a couple of life-based excuses that I’m going to bring up.
The reason my pictures are terrible (and they are) is really two issues. One is that, from 2014 to early 2016, the only cameras I had available were (in order) an extremely broken smartphone whose camera only worked about 60% of the time, the second-cheapest phone stocked at any T-Mobile store within 25 miles of me, a $35 phone I bought from walmart, and a Nextbook Tablet PC (also from walmart, $170).

I think this is about the same image quality as the cell phone I had in 2007′s camera. If the pictures are REALLY terrible in a how-to, check the date I posted it, because I like to think that’s usually to blame.
When January of 2016 came along and I finally had the money to buy a decent phone, a camera was a big priority, and I did get a nice camera in my phone that’s had a significant change in the later posts. What was especially important to me was to get a camera that had a large light sensor, which lets the camera take pictures with higher shutter speeds in lower light situations.
That shutter speed thing’s important because I have some semi-impressive chronic hand tremors. I’m very lucky in that they don’t prevent me from having a job, but I am asked almost every single day if I’ve had too much coffee, if I’ve eaten, if I’m cold, if I’m nervous, and so on. I have a little bit of the usual left-right-up-down hand tremor and a lot of the hands closed-hands open tremor, which makes pinning and hand sewing kind of annoying. If it gets really bad, I use a pair of tiny pliers to pull and push the needle through the fabric. Superfun tremor and bad lighting can mean even though I usually take three or four pictures of every step that I’m photographing, sometimes the clearest one is still a bit blurry. As unprofessional as it looks, I’ll still pick a blurry picture over a clear one if the blurry one shows the step I’m demonstrating more clearly.
You didn’t mention it, but the area that I’m taking pictures in is also frequently a GIANT MESS. A lot of that is due to the fact that I’m a messy person, and I’m not going to lie. I also have WAY too much material stuff in my life, and I move pretty frequently so it’s not stuff in any particular sense of order. Since starting this blog, I have moved seven times (not counting couch surfing or living out of my car), have lived in two apartments and three rented rooms (some where I wasn’t allowed to keep personal possessions anywhere in the house but in my room and sometimes couldn’t use public areas of the house for sewing, so it was crowded in the room). When I say “i sew sitting on the floor” I sometimes mean, “I sew sitting on the only 2′ square of space that isn’t either covered in boxes, or my bed.” In three years time, I’ve moved from Oregon 30 minutes from the California border, to California 25 minutes from the Mexico border. That doesn’t excuse the current mess, or even most of the messes going on in the background of this blog, but it does explain some of the messes ^^;.
Obviously, there’s a lot of people out there with bad cameras and frequent moving who manage to have their houses clean and their pictures in focus. I also could, if I put more of a focus on that, but I don’t. As for why I haven’t really put a priority on high quality pictures, and why I’ll post things even when the images are really bad, it’s mostly because I know that if I make that a requirement for myself, I’ll probably post less. I believe in a collaborative DIY environment, and I like to think that my crappy how-to can still teach a technique to someone who will use it to make something else cool. Maybe they’ll make a tutorial of their improved version of that technique and it’ll reach people my little blog never would! That’d be so cool. I don’t think techniques belong to anyone, and if someone felt the desire to redo a post of mine with some quality pictures or something, I wouldn’t be offended or bothered. I’m not doing this blog for recognition or fame, which is why the IM GOING TO SELL YOUR PATTERNS SEE ART THEFT IS BAD asks made me smile. I’m doing this because I want people to have the power to make what they want and look how they feel. I’m pretty unnecessarily full of myself with this idea that I can change lolita by attempting to share techniques, but it’s what keeps me going so I might as well pretend.
That’s a long and boring way of me saying that I’d rather post something imperfect than to never post, and while I’m aware that the pictures are sh!t as hell, and I’m aware that it’s a thing that could greatly improve this blog, it’s probably not a thing that’s going to have a sudden change any time soon.

Valid. Though, god, no wonder the random shopkeepers caught up in this reincarnation cycle finally crack and join the team.
