I honestly don’t remember. It’s not something I say often and I definitely don’t say it to many people. Perhaps Draco? Or maybe Rosalind? @blondsnake @nott-right

03: Do you regret anything?

I regret leaving for as long as I did. I should have come back sooner. I needed to go and I don’t regret leaving, but I shouldn’t have gone for as long as I did. The people I left behind needed me and I pretended I didn’t know that for a long time.

hc + self care !

alicia is notoriously bad at, you know, actual self-care. processing things. dealing with her emotions. meditating, sleeping well, and not repressing everything. she avoids support groups like they’re infectious, ( her reasoning being, well, IT WASN’T AS BAD FOR HER as it was for other people – who lost family as well as friends ).

on the flipside, she loves bath bombs and exercising and eating good food! she doesn’t have the patience for face masks but she is has an established nighttime skin care regime ( which only takes like two minutes, tops, she’s not that dedicated ).  she is also the kind of d*ckhead to dye her hair bright purple on a dare and yell “self care”, even when the dye won’t disappear and it appears she’s done the spell horrifically wrong.

ANIMALS:

alicia had very little trouble choosing her electives in third year – as much as she admires those who have the stomach for arithmancy or ancient runes, she was always far more attracted to the idea of CARE OF MAGICAL CREATURES ( and did a little more handwringing when deciding between muggle studies & divination ). she became truly fascinated with magical creatures, and it was one of her favourite subjects at school.

having grown up with a family cat, she learned fairly quickly his body language: when to give him spaces versus when he was more willing to play, or cuddle. while her friends didn’t seem to notice these subtle changes in animals, alicia ( was that determined to be liked by everyone & everything ) found a great deal of pride in being the ‘knowledgable one’. thus, she has pretty good instincts, but finally came to the realisation in her NEWT year that she was better at predicting the behaviour of pets rather than wild creatures.

hc + photos !

after everything that she’s lost, you’d think that ginny would cherish photos of better days, especially those of certain people : but if she has any emotional reaction to them, it’s generally of sadness, and so... she doesn’t really ENJOY them. she doesn’t argue if her mum or dad want to take a picture of the family at christmas dinner, or anything, but she doesn’t take a copy. she doesn’t get the girl gang to pose on a night out in diagon alley so she can remember the evening. she doesn’t really... care for photographs, full stop, and doesn’t really have any on display in her bedsit. i wouldn’t go so far as to say she doesn’t have ANY, and i’m sure she owns at least one photo album, stuffed in a drawer somewhere ; but magical photographs are more of a gut punch than the muggle sort, since they move and give the appearance of people still being... there, in a sense, when they aren’t.

hc + music !

though she absolutely WOULD have been a one direction kid, if she’d grown up in the muggle world - she, you know, didn’t, and ginny’s only real exposure to music came from the old radio molly kept in the kitchen that played non stop magical tunes. this was fine, since she was born and raised in a magical environment and thought that the music being put out by the likes of the weird sisters and celestina warbeck and the banshees was top tier, but upon moving into the city, ginny started to broaden her horizons a bit. 

there’s a little record shop near the woolich market that she loves to frequent ( mostly because its ten records for ten pounds ), and the one thing she’s properly indulged in since moving out on her own has been her record collection. she stops by once a week, sometimes more often if she can manage it, and she spends forever among the stacks - choosing her new albums based solely on their cover art and the names of the songs. the best thing about it is that they’re all by muggle artists, and ginny’s discovered that she really, really likes the music that muggles put out ; save for the 40% of records she’s bought that she doesn’t love, of course. 

she has a vintage record player she picked up at the market the same day she discovered the shop, and she’s quite content with the way she’s going about her ‘music discovery’ - she finds she likes the classic stuff more than she does what she hears from neighbours homes, and cars on the street, and in muggle pubs she grabs a drink in. her stuff is better, or maybe it’s the crackle of the record player that ADDS something.

22: Do you want to have kids? How many?

I am so worried to have kids. I feel like I can barely keep myself alive, how could I possibly keep an even more fragile being alive? However! I would really love to have kids someday. Maybe two? A boy and a girl would be nice.

Nope!

24: What is/are/were your best subject(s)?

Herbology and potions, definitely.

26: What are you craving right now?

“nandos,” the best one was obviously the one ‘round the corner from their parents house, but they weren’t sure they were going to make it that far. apparating on an EMPTY stomach wasn’t their favorite thing to do, and there was a perfectly good establishment two streets away from the leaky cauldron. “you can never go wrong with their large peri salted chips and wing roulette meal. that’s not a question of opinion, it’s just straight facts.” 

27: Have you ever broken someone’s heart? 

“genuinely?” they shook their head, “no. definitely not. aside from zara’s dad, i’ve never really been a relationship person. i think you both have to be somewhat EQUALLY invested for there to be actual heartbreak, but i’d be willing to bet there’s at least one person out there convinced i’m their lose lenore.” 

29: Have you made a boyfriend/girlfriend cry?

“oh, yeah,” makena didn’t mean to sound so blasé about the answer she gave, this time, but it was hard to not seem it when they pffed and sat back in their chair at that exact moment, arms crossed over their chest, “like, more times than i ought to have. but usually i ended up crying after, so, alls fair right?”

30: What’s irritating you right now? 

“uh...” they thought about it, briefly, small dent appearing in the middle of their brow as they racked their brains, “nothing? usually when i’m bothered, you KNOW it.”

hc + self care !

Self-care.

It was a word Neville didn’t learn until he left Hogwarts. To be honest, he’s still not sure how he feels about it. He thinks that caring about other people is a lot more important than caring about oneself. But he does try to check in with himself and try to understand what’s good for him and what isn’t. He tries to listen to himself a little more. 

In the morning, if he puts on a shirt and any discomfort around his own body flares up at all, he won’t make himself go out that way. He’ll change clothes. At night, if he’s feeling hungry, he’ll go for a snack.

Self-care to him is also letting himself open up to other people and letting other people open up to him. Up to a certain point, Neville does find it healing.
