when marcy meets shadowheart she's like "oh no... a dark mysterious lady... my one weakness!" she can pretend she's noncommittal all she likes (as a coping mechanism for her very fresh heartbreak) but we all know she's gonna fall for her anyways.

act 2 is hell for both marcy and shadowheart because of SH's crisis of faith but also because marcy feels guilty for falling fast and hard for SH when it was only a few weeks ago that she was going to run away with victoria. what if victoria was going to meet her and she just got lost? what if she had arrived five minutes later before marcy got kidnapped? what if, what if, what if?

and so it takes a really long time for both marcy and SH to come to terms with their feelings for each other, but they get there in the end :)
