hey i was also at that Buffalo concert for Hozier! the fact that he opened with Would That I made me almost cry !! my girlfriend and I absolutely loved it! and his encore for Take Me To Church was EXTREMELY powerful
hey fellow upstate NY Hozier fan! god, it was so good, and what makes opening with Would That I even better is that it was probably the first time he'd played it live, and it was certainly my first time hearing a live version, so my friend was like "what's this" and i was like jumping out of my seat with joy "IT'S WOULD THAT I"
and yeah, TMTC is always so magnificent. you think "oh, it's the Hozier song everyone knows, it won't hit me" and then you're just singing along with it like everyone else. his power, man.
