Headed to the gym over my lunch break and realized I forgot to get in my 5k last week, so I knew I had my plan.
5k ✅ Step goal for the day ✅ Workout ✅ Kick ass ✅
Also. Beat last week's 5k time by 35 seconds
Lunchtime workout complete. As well as a quick grocery run so I can bring my lunch tomorrow. #adultfail when trying to be good with money and realizing a cheese sandwich isn't going to cut it for lunch. Ended up on the treadmill for longer than usual and hit 2.3ish miles. Wanted to go for the full 5k but knew I had to run to the store. Talked with an old neighbor about going swimming twice a week in the morning (think 5 am. Eep). Need to find some old swimsuits and see if they fit.
When you spill something on your shirt right before working out, you think "I better sweat a lot very quickly so it all mixes together and no one can tell." 🤦🏼♀️ Workout complete
I can’t lie. Today sucked.
I had zero desire to head to the gym today and to be honest, I have so much work that I probably shouldn’t have gone. But I did.
Then I thought, I’ll knock out my 5k today. About 30 seconds into running, my legs were like, girl who are you kidding? You better knock the treadmill back down and just walk, fool.
So that’s what I did. Then I hit up the weights for some arm moves and finished up with the bike, to give my legs a break.
I know I pushed myself but I’m just feeling kind of ‘meh’ about everything.
I have discovered over the past 2 days, that evenings are terrible for me and my eating. What typically ends up happening is that I eat a big lunch or I eat lunch and then get hungry around 3, eat and then I have no points or just a few points left for the rest of the day. Used to be that if I had a big lunch, I wasn’t hungry at night and therefore the lack of points wasn’t a problem. But this week I have wanted to eat everything, hungry or not. Sooooo, my first week back on points hasn’t been so great. So I just decided to go ahead and quick add 10 points for dinner. Typically I forget I’ve done this, so if I do eat all my points (that I see on my phone) during the day, that still leaves me 10 points for dinner.
This is my new strategy. We’ll see how well it works.
