Scenery along the highway in northern Lundrub County, a few hours drive north-east of Lhasa. The hermitage on the cliffs made me think of the famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Bhutan.

An u-gyel (དབུགས་རྒྱལ་ Wylie: dbugs rgyal) hanging outside the protector chapel of Langtang Monastery in Lundrub. It’s a bag made of yak skin that captures the breath essence of people who have died in the nearby area.
