updated reference art for Lunestrians! I really like showing off the life cycle from baby to adult—their little tadpole tail is gone by about puberty. Before then, it’s useful for helping baby Lunestrians learn how to swim and breathe underwater :)

do ziar antennas give them any special powers?
Hi, thanks for asking!
Zair antennae are mostly their sense of smell; they detect chemicals in the air, which can be quite useful, but it's not quite a "special power."
Lunestrians, on the other hand, use their antennae to communicate telepathically!
Lunestrians are smooth. Like sharks
Ask me about my aliens
Lunestrians, like fish, have natural yellow “filters” in their eyes; this allows them to see different colors than other creatures, and most importantly, allows them to see the phosphorescent markings on one another in blacklight or the weird-blue-filtered deep sea light. These markings are unique to each Lunestrian and serve as a way to identify one’s friends or allies underwater, where visibility is low.
