LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE BINGGEYUAN!!!!!!!! in fact i usually prefer it to bingqiu. Not that I don't like bingqiu but I love the binggeyuan dynamic a lot. Shen Yuan (at least until the extras lol) never knew binghe as he was in PIDW. He shaped the protagonist in a completely different way. Naturally, SQQ (yuan) has a far different opinion on bingmei as he is quite literally not the same guy he read about before transmigration. Shen Yuan has hero worship for bingge, while shen qingqiu admires and adores him. I like the flip of obsession! I like seeing shen yuan/shen qingqiu in general be the obsessive one rather than binghe. That parasocialish idol worship devotion shen yuan has as a reader of pidw, paired with bingge's mischevious generally untrustworthy demonic black lotus self, is simply one of my favorite dynamics ever. Especially with Shen Yuan's denial of his obsession and conviction hes "normal". Bingge batting him around like a plaything until realizing hes crazyin love with him is my favorite

I love luo binghe for a lot of reasons but one of the biggest one is that he's a representation of bpd i take great comfort in (borderline not bipolar). On bingmei's side; he is loved and accepted for who he is, he is not demonized (pun intended) by his lover for his "manipulation" and symptoms. He is in a life long, happy healthy and secure relationship with the love of his life, and isn't seen as something to "fix" or "tone down" for his obsessions and for only caring about one person. Binghe's single minded devotion to ssq (literally doesnt give any presence of mind to any other person in the whole world) does not make him a villain, it does not make the object of his affections a victim of him, he is not seen as a bad person by the narritive. Getting to have that perfect healthy relationship with that favorite person and not having to "fix" yourself for it, being devoted to the point of insanity and being loved just like that, without having to change who you are? It's like wish fulfillment for me, a person with bpd. It feels good to see yourself represented in a character and that character being loved for who they are, being one of the heroes of the novel instead of the villain, and especially with it being such a stigmatized disorder? I don't know a single other media that makes me feel both so represented and so loved. Its almost certainly unintentional, but I adore him for it all the same! As for bingge, I love him for soooo many reasons but as you may be able to tell from my shen jiu obsession I love characters who represent the cycle of abuse. I like his cocky attitude and arrogance a lot, and you know, I am not immune to a bit of Shen Yuan behavior, sometimes a super hot op demon lord just does it for you. I have to cut this one short here or I will go on FOREVER lol
