For Amelia: 10 & 12 for past, 9 & 11 for present, 3 & 4 for future

Yes! Amelia is my girl, I'm so happy you asked lol. (am I procrastinating from work...also yes, but whatever) Some of these are a little tricky but let's see how it goes.

Past:

10: What did they dream of doing when they grew up? How and why did it change, if it did? Amelia grew up thinking she was going to be a researcher, possibly an archivist like her mother. That changed as soon as she did her aptitude test and had her Divergence confirmed. After that, it was a matter of figuring out the best way to survive. 12: What are some of their biggest regrets? Some of them will show up later in the story (so I don't want to spoil it for you) but aside from some of her actions you read about,I think her biggest one would be not confiding in her family. Present: 9: What kind of place do they live in? Amelia lives in the typical Erudite apartment for single people. It's a little larger than others because of her position. She tries to make it a home. She has bookcases filled with books that she likes as well as ones that remind her of her family and photos on her walls of them. Her home is her sanctuary.

11: What’s a typical night’s sleep like for them? This depends on what she's done that day and how stressed she is. On a good day, she sleeps exactly 7-8 hours. On a bad one, she gets maybe 4 and that's pushing it. She can't stop thinking of everything that is going to go wrong. Future: 3: How would their beliefs or morals change in the future, if at all? Amelia is pretty steadfast in her beliefs but I think if they were to change, it would be to be less self-serving. 4: What’s something they were sure would happen in their future but didn’t? I can't say the first thing that popped into my mind because that would be a spoiler lol. Amelia assumed she would have solved her own problems by herself. That's vague enough, right? lol

For the tropes: enemies to lovers

Ooh okay so like I’d grade it a B+ish, I think? Because when it’s done well, it can be so good. But a lot of times I think it’s more like don’t like each other rather than genuinely enemies and it can be done so poorly, so I can’t rank it higher.

Oh God, lol. I always find these hard to answer because I think these things are a bit hard to notice of your own writing but I'm going to try!

12) your weaknesses as an author

I feel like I'm shooting myself in the foot, but I think my biggest weakness as an author is descriptions. I was around and writing when the Mary Sue phase (and subsequent hate) was around and I think it made me leery of actually describing my main characters. In any case, I tend not to describe their looks very much. Except in the case of Tammy because I needed to describe the differences between her and Kate's own body. I'm also easily distracted by ideas and I get stuck on the small things (like filler scenes between the big plot points) and once I'm distracted, it takes me awhile to get back into it. That's why The Art of Seclusion took me 7 years lol. (Thank God for @vixenofcourse who asked me questions and brought my focus back into it lol)

13) your strengths as an author

I think it's usually harder to admit your strengths. Maybe we're all just less assured of our writing that way. I've been told that my strengths are in realism, whether it's reactions to situations or relationships. That's a big thing to me because I try hard to keep things realistic. I tend to be stronger in writing angst than anything else lol. I don't know what else, lol. Oh! I've also been told that my pairings in my fics usually tend to follow the theme of "the power of the common cause" which is "Tragic when they're not aligned and the potential is lost, and earth shaking when they have their shit together" (thanks @vixenofcourse ) I don't plan for themes or things like that in my writing so it's interesting that it occurs regardless. Canni consider that a strength? That cool things happen without my intentions? Lol
