Favorite comfort food when traveling

noodles of any kind!! i will def order a pasta from the hotel in-room dining menu or try the noodle option at a local restaurant. case in point, i had a layover in singapore on sunday and one of the terminals had a faux-street food market and i got dandan noodles and chili wontons...def made my endless travel day better:

ruby que - was catching up with an art friend and this artist came up in our conversation; spent some time over the weekend on her site and liking what i see so far

maki ohkojima - s2 of the art&tech show on netflix has an episode dedicated to her and her process; biggest art crush atm and i can't find a home website of hers whyyy

aki inomata - same as above, from art&tech s2; my jaw was on the floor the entire ep like HER BRAIN IS SO BIG

tyler shelton - obsessed with his ig, exactly where i want to derive my mixed media insp from and integrate it with my collage work

I never know how to celebrate or post about TDOV because I'm always so weighed down by a mix of grief and bittersweet pride. I've yet to spend today truly celebrating but maybe that'll change soon.

there’s not a huge selection, but each fic has a slightly different focus, so it’s well worth reccing them all.

The Hierarchy by robotboy (@r0b0tb0y​) john gets fucked by the robot in its warrior form. then the robot stuffs him full of space eels. there’s some excellent build-up and john is very much into it, so it works surprisingly well

(the last fic has a special place in my heart because it was my gateway to the rest of the author’s work, and A Ship is a Republic might just be one of my favourite silverflint fics of all time.)
