He probably shouldn’t be doing this, but it was too much fun. Talking with fans of his “erotic” novels as if he was just a humble bookeeper -- or just another fan -- was the best way to see how much people enjoyed his books. People were honest when they didn’t know it was him. And well, it was pretty hot when women told him how his books turned them on (even if they didn’t exactly know they were his books -- though if he were honest, people would tell him that to his face, as well).
Though he was a successful novelist, he worked at this bookstore sort of for fun, and had noticed this woman make a beeline for the romantic fiction section when she had walked in. Intrigued (especially since his new book had just come out), he headed over, stack of books tucked in his arm.
Finding her with his book in hand, he flashed her a smile. “Ah, the new release,” he said cheerfully. “Have you read others by that author? He seems popular.” // @lustthriill
