The MC will meet many people along their journeys who, despite their best intentions, cannot be helped beyond the few little things they can manage. Not everyone can be saved.

(And the mechanical reason is that Luthais is an Episode 1 character only, so there's no room for him to join the MC in Velantis.)

No, you won't. 😔 Chapter 1 is a contained event and its characters are locked to the chapter. Luthais won't be able to follow you to Velantis.

Is it weird that I want to adopt Luthais?? Like tbh I expected him to do what he did, but I still want to protect him (and his mom). Kane’s comments about her were worrying...

Luthais is trying his best (for him and his mum). You’ll be seeing him again later in Chapter 1, he’s not out of the picture yet.

If I remember right, I think when we did a live read of an early version of that scene, people in my twitch chat wanted to adopt Luthais. You’re definitely not alone there, anon ahaha.
