after three long months, i'm finally done* with this hurdy-gurdy!
(*not yet in playable condition- the strings right now are temporary strings that are not quite to the correct pitches. i will post a video once she's playable!)
i learned a LOT through this project. massive shoutout to everyone who helped me out along the way. i sadly can't name names without doxxing myself because they're actual professionals in my area, but i do want to be clear that i didn't do this alone! i'm hoping to tackle a few other instruments on my own in the future- i'll probably venture into viols once i've got a steady workspace again. stay tuned!
i've got way more photos of this thing in progress in my thesis tag, and will probably continue to post about the other stages of my thesis project there in the coming months!!
