Atoms separated them. Will swallowed. With a deep, steadying breath, he allowed his shoulders to drop. It felt better, the pull at his muscles easier. His chin lifted naturally. Projecting to the balcony.
Hannibal smiled. “That’s good, Will.”
Dancers are dying at a local ballet company. With local law enforcement convinced it's an inside job, promising FBI agent and ex-dancer Will Graham is sent undercover to investigate. When he meets renowned ballet dancer Hannibal Lecter, it becomes clear that the investigation will be anything but straightforward.

NGL, this one was weirdly difficult. I guess because almost everything I write for Sladin kinda falls under the “I Have You Now, My Pretty” trope, so I had too much freedom, hahaha.
That said, here’s the closest thing to an Apprentice Arc rewrite I’ll probably ever do. :p

Slade watched him change. He watched.
Thespotlight cut through the room like a blade, warm on his bare skin. Face burning, Robin kicked off his boots andunclasped his belt. Slade remained ashadow in the unlit corner of the room, not moving, breathing so softly Robinmight’ve forgotten he was there. Excepthe could feel Slade’s eyes onhim. Searing through his skin.
Droppinghis belt with his boots, Robin peeled off his gloves. He balled them up and stuffed them in his shoe,putting off the inevitable.
Letting out a slow breath, he straightened. Curled his fingers in the hem of his shirt.
Glancedat Slade.
Andtugged the shirt off over his head.
Theinstant the spotlight hit his bare shoulders, he stepped back into the shadows. Suddenly, he understood why Raven liked topull that sweeping cloak around herself. Something about Slade’s eyes on his body made his skin crawl.
‘No,Robin,’ Slade said smoothly. ‘Stay inthe light.’
‘Why?’Robin shot back.
Apause, and although he couldn’t see Slade’s face, Robin got the impression hewas licking his lips. ‘So I can see you.’
Robinwent cold. His heart leaped into his throat,and he was backing up before he’d even realised he was moving, because no way, no way—
Slademoved so fast Robin had barely turned to face him before the fist swung up intohis jaw. His teeth crashed together andhe tumbled back, and landed heavy. Thebreath huffed out of him, pain pulsing through his face.
‘Getup, Robin.’
Theroom swayed. Robin shook his head,trying to get his feet under him. A handcurled around his arm and yanked, dragging him up.
‘Isaid get up.’
Robinstaggered, but kept his feet. Slade’shand remained tight on his arm, tugging him back so his shoulders slammed intoSlade’s chest.
‘WhenI tell you to do something, you will obey.’ Slade’s breath traced Robin’s ear and he shuddered. Slade’s other arm curled around Robin’s body,and with a flash of silver, the trigger slipped out of Slade’s sleeve and intohis waiting palm. ‘Or else …’
‘Iknow,’ Robin ground out. ‘I know.’
Thetrigger disappeared into Slade’s armour. ‘Then stay in the light. Keepstill. And keep your eyes forward.’
Robinclenched his jaw as Slade drew back his arm, but didn’t move. Fine. Slade wanted to watch him strip? Fine. He wouldn’t let Slade shame him. And that was all it was—a power play—another way to make Robin feelsmall and powerless, and—
Heheard the click, but didn’t realise it was Slade’s mask until he felt bare skinpress against his neck, just behind his ear. Robin jolted, and began to turn, but—
‘Eyesforward, Robin.’ Slade’s hand tightenedon Robin’s arm.
Andbefore Robin could take a breath, he felt something warm and wet at the base ofhis throat. It traced up over his skin,and Robin sucked a gasp and jerked in Slade’s grip as he realised—
Slade’stongue curled behind his ear, and then his teeth snapped down on Robin’searlobe.
Witha yelp, Robin tried to lunge away, but Slade’s arms closed around his baretorso, dragging him back, crushing him close.
‘You’re going tolearn, Robin.’ Slade’s lips brushed theshell of Robin’s ear, his breath hot. ‘Howeverlong it takes. You decide how difficultthis is going to be.’

hmmm, well, severus/lily was my first ship ever, waaay back in my harry potter phase - i still love it. in the fmab fandom i ship my roy/kimblee rowboat and i still love the jasper/peridot size dif. ALSO people on twitter are getting me into enji/shouto and reigen/mob which are CHOICE.
-this is something i’ve been working on for a while! i figured it would be a nice way to welcome the new reylos and also for us seasoned two-years to read some of our favorite works again before the last jedi.
-the list is separated into three categories: one shots, multi-chapter works (1 to 10 chapters) and novel length (anything more than 10 chapters)
-there are also separated lists for alternate universe and star wars universe stories. (a few could go either way, but if it’s based in a galaxy far far away, it goes in the second category.)
-every fic on this list is complete. there are many great works not on this list that deserve recognition, (i’m looking at you, thwarted and satan wears a rolex) but they will appear in later volumes.
