"I want to kill something."
Taeyeon’s fingers slid over the keyboard of her laptop as she looked at her screen, letting out a frustrated huff. Spending time at the company was never enjoyable, but it wasn’t optional either. The comeback, debut, whatever it’s called, was impending. With that coming, there also came the push for new music. Music that would interest the public, instead of rehashing old hits from their days in Seattle, which weren’t especially long ago. The refusal to use a generic Korean pop song in storage resulted in the duo having to create their own, which didn’t seem difficult when they initially agreed to it. They’d written songs, with Daren co-writing various hit singles for other artists before. It didn’t seem that difficult, until they were rushed to an office to work on the song.
She understood the need for new music, and she understood the complaint about the duo’s petulant attitude (but honestly, that was to be expected). What she didn’t understand was why they had to come up with new material in one of the company’s offices. The woman glanced around the stifling office with a frown. All of these offices looked the same, Christ, how was anyone supposed to get inspiration from a dull, trite white wall?
Hearing Daren’s comment, the singer’s eyes flickered over to her band mate momentarily, an amused smirk forming on her lips. She hummed in agreement as she resumed saving her work. “Don’t we all.” The program began to shut down, and she returned her attention back to the male, leaning her arms against the table as she spoke. “Kill the CEO if you actually kill anyone, though. Or our manager.”
