A tune was playing silently, carried on the spring wind - an echo from nature that told of warmer times that were just around the corner. It wasn’t particularly hot out, but the chill of winter had already gone past, and right now the stagnant feel of something in between was lurking all around. It was both hot and cold, but also neither. It was a strange world that somehow seemed really harmonious, caught in a perfect balance.
Kousei was lying on a field, feeling the occasional wind blows run through his hair and letting the scent of the fresh grass rise all around him, all the while listening to the muric nature provided him with, playing its melody for him acarezzévole. Right at this very moment it felt like the world belonged to him, like there was no one else there to disturb the peace. Engulfed by the moment the young pianist rose his hand in front of him and began playing along to the tunes of the air, a thoroughly beautiful sensation.
Only too late did he realise that he wasn’t at all alone. A pair of feet entering his field of vision, and almost on commando Kousei sat up stiff as a board, mouth wide agape. “Did you see that...?” he inquired, already feeling the embarrassment rise, giving his cheeks a red tinge of fluster.
