The New Orleans-based, electro-rock artist has a sound designed for reckless summer nights and top-down road trips. Tracks like 'Camera Lens' and 'Mirrors,' with their upbeat tempo and lush production, push the EP forward with ease. Luxley (whose real name is Ryan Gray) is on to something special with this release.

Ryan Gray (aka Luxley)’s debut EP is streaming in its entirety now over on NYLON featuring remixes by Great Good Fine Ok, Mystery Skulls, Magic Man, Little Daylight, and IYES. Ayad Al-Adhamy, Justin Garish, and Simon Katz made this sound great. So we’re excited to finally share this with you in its entirety.
It's crazy when we think about it, but so many people put in so much hard work, love, and collaboration into this (and still are) to make this one EP happen. So many people took chances working with us on our first release (and still are on new material). So many people dealt with countless (sometimes unsolicited) e-mails, long hours in studios, long rehearsals and long van rides, low budgets, obnoxious pestering them to come out to shows or do a remix or do a session or let us open for them or listen and give feedback to the music, leaving (and letting me leave) work for a month to go on tour across the country, phone calls and e-mails and texts and meetings giving advice. So many people selflessly lended us their time, experience, talent, and insight. So many people dealt with us learning (we're still learning) while we did it; and all the missteps and mistakes and growing pains that go along with that. And so many people have been extremely supportive while we did it. So many people still are.
To those people, we just want to say thank you. It doesn't go unnoticed and it's sincerely appreciated. We love you. And we can't wait to do it all again.
Hope you love it. And if you love it, hope you share it. You can grab it here if you want it: http://smarturl.it/luxleyspiritdeluxe.
Disco-loving LA act Mystery Skulls pictured takes on Luxleys Tremors in a summer-ready remix, premiering exclusively on LessThan3. Last we featured Luis Dubuc, the name behind Mystery Skulls, we dropped three remixes of his tune Magic featuring Brandy and Nile Rodgers. This time, he's on the delivering end of the new spin, taking Luxley's "Tremors" to the heat of a tropical dancefloor and prepping it for summertime domination.
We think Ryan (aka Luxley) said it best over on his Facebook page:
“Yesterday, an awesome remix by Mystery Skulls premiered over on LessThan3.
Given everything that has transpired this week around the country, it didn't feel right to share it then. My manager and I are not sure it still does because it feels like there are so many more important things to talk about. But it also doesn't feel right to not share something our team is so proud of and that such an awesome human being (seriously, Luis is the best--you can talk to that dude about anything from WWE to obscure French dance music) worked so hard on.
So we're sharing it now. And announcing that it will be on a deluxe edition of the album that will (finally) be coming out on July 29th on Rude Fox Records / Future Tapes (you can pre-order the standard edition of that here and get three songs instantly: http://luxley.bandcamp.com).
We're not naive enough to think it'll solve anything. Nor do we think that sharing new music at a time like this is the most important thing. But hopefully, in a shitty week when there is so much happening and so much change to be had, it'll make your summer a little bit brighter for a little bit of time when you listen to it.
<3,
Luxley”
