what I really appreciate about Pilar and Felix’s relationship, and I’m excited to see fleshed out in s3, is the idea that loving someone doesn’t have to be hard. Yes, relationships require WORK, but it doesn’t have to be so difficult that you feel like the bad outweighs the good. Love should be easy and reciprocal, not exhausting and mostly one sided. idk I just think it’s really refreshing to see and that it can be as simple as closing your eyes and picturing so many purely GOOD things with another person is really nice.

I’m really looking forward to Pilar hyping up Felix and him like blushing or some shit because he’s not used to a girlfriend doing that *cough cough Lake* and him doing the same for her. idk man I just love love it’s so beautiful.

p.s. I’m calling it now that we get a pilix rain kiss followed by them running into the apartment and he gives her a change of clothes, wraps her in a blanket and kisses her on the forehead *🥰*

This is, in fact, the first time (I think) that we get a shot where we are in Benji’s head for once. We are right there with him, experiencing his emotional reaction to seeing Victor with Rahim. To me, this bodes well for season 3 development for Benji. Why would they spend season 2 dropping hints that the boy has depth, only to culminate in this shot where we finally get a chance to experience something through Benji’s eyes (instead of always seeing Benji through Victor’s eyes), only to throw Benji out in season 3? It wouldn’t make any sense.

Also? They spent a good chunk of s2 on a mental health plot, with Felix’s mom (my favorite plot of the season. Stellar actors, all handled with so much care and nuance. Chefs kiss.) Do we really think they’re going to throw away the opportunity to explore Benji’s addiction? I really really don’t think they’re gonna throw that out. In fact, I see that being a pretty pivotal plot point in s3. They certainly have been laying the groundwork since “What Happens in Willacoochee” or however you spell that silly name.
