I'm watching Heartstopper Forever (which I'm liking quite a lot, for the record). and i'm always just AMAZED at how good Joe Locke and Kit Connor are together. the ensemble stuff is enjoyable and cute, but the Nick/Charlie scenes are just on a completely different level.

I’m actually obsessed with the structure of the movie being just like the comics. The fact that that we follow the other characters only as much as Nick and Charlie do, is PERFECT. I know some people are dissapointed in it, but I was nervous about the shorter runtime of a movie and I’m glad it feels as if we still got a full seasons worth of Narlie content without the other storylines taking up too much of the screen time. I love the other characters and I wanted to know what happened to them but narlie are just objectively my favorite part of the show and the more screen time they get the better. The way it played out was ideal.

You CAN NOT convince me that Tao did not bring the video of their graduation of Nick and Charlie's wedding.

Ya know, the one where he went "Anything planned for the future? A wedding, perhaps?" And Charlie playfully scolded him.

In his best man speech, he would stand up, play that video in the biggest screen he could manage to place inside the venue and proudly claim that he 'called it'.

And dear God, he would be right.

it's so important to me that heartstopper doesn't shy away from difficult topics, but always approaches them in a very optimistic way. it manages to be hopeful while remaining realistic.

it doesn't exploit any of the characters' trauma, instead focusing on healing and community, and that's what we need more of in the world.
