ask esme who in the entire world she’s most comfortable with, and she wouldn’t hesitate before naming luca. he’s more than just her best friend, and she couldn’t imagine him ever not being a part of her life. he’s as much of a home to her as her own parents are and she firmly believes part of the reason why she’s had such a wonderful life so far is because the two of them are friends. there’s almost nothing esme wouldn’t give to see luca always be happy. that being said, the one thought she’d never confess to him would be that she’s afraid one day he’s going to distance himself so far from her that he won’t come back.
