“ i’m so sorry! i didn’t know you didn’t like your picture taken. ” in truth, they’re just pictures of gambol shroud, but still. velvet dislikes the idea of upsetting blake in any way, so for the moment, she puts her camera away. surely the feline looks beautiful in any pictures she’s in, but the hare won’t push past boundaries. “ i can delete them ‘f you really want me to— ”
Bases were loaded, Blake was about to bat, and Nora was up next. The umpire and coaches were discussing something to do with the game, so Nora took the time to practice swinging and joke around with some of the girls in the dugout. For a moment she glanced at Blake and gave her a thumbs up, cheering her on as the coaches and ump split up. The red head had a determined smile on her face, adrenaline running through her as she excitedly watched all the action.
Soon the pitcher pitched the ball, and the cat cracked it all the way to the fence. Nora and the rest of the team were yelling, the crowd was yelling, the opposing team was shouting directions to where the ball should go- it was a music to the ginger’s ears! The ball got back into the field right as Blake was on the way to home base, making it there a second after she slid down and touched the plate. The catcher caught the ball and tagged the Faunus- but it was too late, or rather it should have been too late. The umpire called Blake out, causing an uproar from the bleachers and the dugout- and a few loud comments from the loud red head just a few feet from him.
“ WHAT THE HELL KIND OF CALL WAS THAT, UMP?! “
She yelled, ripping her helmet off and letting it drop to the dirt below. Dust came off her cleats as she stomped up to the old man, calling him out about everything he just did wrong- making him mad and causing her team to rush out and grab their angered team member. Yang Xiao Long, their catcher, ended up having to pick up Nora and carry her to the dugout- but not before she got in some words she shouldn’t have.
“ DID YOU GET HIT IN THE HEAD WITH TOO MANY BALLS YA’ IDIOT? JESUS CHRIST- MY GRANDMA COULD MAKE CALLS BETTER THAN YOU AND SHE DOESN’T KNOW SHIT ABOUT SOFTBALL! “
With that, the umpire called the game- kicking Beacon High School’s team off the field. Weiss Schnee, their pitcher, stuffed a roll of medical gauze in Nora’s mouth before she could protest anymore. Of course, she got a stern talking to from Glynda, their coach, but the woman wasn’t all too happy with the umpire either- she couldn’t blame the red head. With her bag slung over her shoulder, arms crossed, and an irritated pout engraved into her features- she marched to the bus so the team could go home.
She sat down in one of the seats and got on her phone, letting Ren know she was on her way home, shortly after being joined by someone in said seat. Turquoise hues glanced up to see Blake, and suddenly Nora felt somewhat bad for the scene she put on. She did take Blake’s chance to show up that umpire, or to stand up for herself- her angry expression softened and she looked down.
“ I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have gotten that mad. But you were safe! I don’t understand why he would’ve called you out like that. He was probably paid to make dumbass calls like that too, I just-- I need to shut up before I get in more trouble or annoy you with my, “uncalled for,” anger. “
Her arms lifted to do air quotes, then folded across her chest again, and she slumped in the seat, pushing her knees up on the seat in front of her.

@lvnarstruck continued from here !
“ blake, i - ” she began, stepping towards the feline. the heartache in her eyes was demoralizing, painful to look into. “ i wrote it so long ago — i was selfish then. ” if she was honest with herself, she still WAS, just not as outwardly. thin arms wrapped around feline waist, embrace tight and sincere. “ there’s nothing to be sorry for now, ” she reassured, tears welling in her own eyes. fingers gripped her chin gently, lifting her head so that golden gaze would meet her own. “ hey. we are together now. and no matter what happened before, i’m not going anywhere. ” she rested her forehead against the other faunus’s, eyes closed, breath deep in an attempt to prevent any tears from falling.

pipe was put between lips of soft scales . a snap of thumb against middle finger brought a flame to light chamber . there was a deep inhale of the herb was taken , head tilting back to blow out the thick smoke of blue tint . she was a faunus . . . but unlike other faunus whom looked more human . . . she did not . in truth , she looked more like the reptile part of her , like she had no human in her .
