Send “Mistletoe” for our muses to get caught under mistletoe!
Now this was more like it! A cute petite girl with dark hair and and air of mystery? The mistletoe was worth it after all!The room hummed small talk and carols as she lent down to kiss the younger girl delicately, feigning a little hesitance. “Merry Christmas Zinnia,” she smiled, unsure whether she was giddy from the kiss or the wine. “I am happy you came to the party!”
😘 Zinnia slides an entire wallet (read: probably not hers) into the money jar, before fixing the both of them with a quizzical gaze. She claps her hands together and smiles, knife-cut. "Both of you. Make with the kisses. It's for a good cause, ain't it?"
Morty returns with a couple of fresh hot doughnuts and hands one to Riley. A bit surprised by the kind gesture but he accepts it nonetheless with a thank you.
“So, who was that guy? He looks familiar,” Morty asks as he takes a bite out of his sweet treat. Riley pauses, chews and swallows before he answers, cheeks still dusted with red. “He’s a friend of mine. I was, uh, roped into a wild chase with him during our first meeting by his twin and my best friend. It’s not surprising if you’ve seen his face somewhere. He’s Ingo, one of the Subway Battle Boss in Unova.”
Morty listens with rapt attention, his eyes slowly gaining a light of recognition. “Ah, that’s why. I’ve been to Unova a couple of times. Heard about this subway where you can actually battle in it. Never tried it out, though it sounds interesting.”
Before Riley could give his response, he notices someone approaching their booth. She walks with a sort of swagger, her lips set in a smirk that sends shivers down his spine for some reason. Both of them watch in silent shock as she slides in an entire wallet into the money jar, followed by her (rather bold) request.
It takes a moment before Morty’s brain reboots itself. Placing down his treat, he looks at her, surprise evident on his face. “An entire wallet? Miss, are you sure?” By his side, Riley is not doing much better.
“I wouldn’t have put it in if I wasn’t sure, sugar,” she replies, her tone honeyed yet.. dangerous. “Though, I’d be satisfied with just one kiss each. Money’s going to charity right? Much as I’d love smacking lips all day, I have other places to be.”
By then, Riley has finished counting out the money, which more or less amounts to nearly 500 Pokedollars. He looks a little stunned, which was probably an expression mirrored on Morty’s face. All that money for just one kiss? Well then...
Morty clears his throat and rises to his feet. He then leans down, their noses practically brushing before he presses his lips against Zinnia’s. It tastes strangely sweet, thought that might have been the doughnut he was just eating.
He ends the kiss and takes a step back, giving room for his companion to take center stage. Riley coughs once, his cheeks slightly flushed and goes through the same motion. He too tastes a tasty sort of sweetness, intermingling with the sweetness in his mouth. The kiss lasts a few seconds longer before he breaks it.
“Thank you for your donation. It really means a lot...”
Hoenn was a region Kris hadn’t expected to find herself in. At the same time, she wasn’t exactly expecting to begin a search for a pair of Legendary Pokemon. Latios and Latias, two Dragon Legendaries of Hoenn, had been spotted several times in Kanto over the past couple of years. She’d actually run into Latias one time before. It was there in a second, and in another, gone from her sight. Kris was determined to learn more about them and, ideally, confront one.
Being two of several Legendaries of Hoenn, it only made sense for her to research and hunt for them there. Hunting for them in Kanto was simply unreliable. It’s not like she understood their migration patterns, if they even had any or they were traveling just for the hell of it. There was a large library located in Slateport. They would most certainly have some books about the Legendaries of the region. She hoped at least one would provide insight on how to find them.
Kris combed through the shelves, taking out any book about Legendaries she came upon. The more she knew, the better chance she had. The book stack in her arms grew and grew as she wandered through the library. It was amazing how many books they had on the subject. It excited her, realizing how much information she could probably get from the books. Sure, it would be tedious as all hell and she’d most likely hate it, but it started to seem worth it to Kris.
As she walked through the library, massive stack of books being balanced in her arms, she bumped into someone as she turned a corner. Kris dropped some of the books on the top of the stack. She groaned, setting the rest of the stack down on the ground and knelt down to pick up the rest that had fallen.
“Sorry,” she said, picking up a couple books. “I shoulda been paying more attention to where I was going.” Kris cracked a small smile at the stranger while she placed books back on the stack. “I was just soooo enthused about doing all this research.”
