After seeing that L x Soichiro was an option in the DN ship tier maker, I did some research if this actually exists or if this is just a crack ship because L becoming Light's stepdad would be funny af. And guess what I found? Two fanfics for L/Soichiro! I couldn’t bring myself to read them but if you’re brave enough, go on.

❤️ I’m glad you like the art! Ever since the pandemic brought out the old weeaboo in me like a rising full moon, I’ve thrown myself into learning how to draw properly just so I could make all the silly obscure fandom drawings I used to hunt for across various art sites.

I’ve always loved crack pairings, especially along the vein of “this is a stupid pairing, let’s find a way to make this work” I have spent way too long turning L/Soichiro over in my head and I have finally figured out how they might actually work.

Preview of a L/Soichiro comic I’m working on, because sometimes you have to create what you want to see in the world. L’s posture has made me weep for days on end and now I’ve finally gotten all his limbs in the correct position this preview is going up!

I’m sure my fellow artists understand what I mean when I say I think I chose to draw in too much detail for the project I started - L’s pose has wracked me for multiple evenings in a way a more noodle-limbed style wouldn’t have. I’d have just reverted into noodle drawings except that I’ve drawn over a dozen panels in this style already.

Please, don’t judge my hastily slapped down masking panels, I’m putting them in so I can tell myself I’ll come back and do proper toning/shading/colouring later.

Was it you that found that couple of Soichiro x L fanfiction because I'm curious enough to read them now but i can't find the post for the life of me

As we all know there are two types of Death Note fan: LxSoichiro shippers and cowards. Alas, cowardice runs rampart in this fandom and I was never linked to those fics. If you find them share them!

For now, I can only offer you this as thanks for reminding me of the potential of these two
