Night time was by far alaska's favorite time to drive. the air was still and everyone was fast asleep in their homes. though in this case, the hunk of metal she named buster is her home. it had been now for a few years now and she honestly wouldn't want it any other way; because her free spirit was cleared to roam and travel to her hearts content without a care in the world. some might think it was lonely travelling alone, but honestly she was having the time of her life every single minute of it. she met new people everyday, saw new places and secret treasure spots that held either rustic or natures beauty. she saw the good in everything. there was a certain town she used as a home base though every once and a while. so much so that she's gained friends there so she when she went out to travel she always made sure to keep in touch or come back frequently. now was one of those times where she takes a break from the open road for a while and stays close to the area. though the girl was still driving as if she were set on autopilot at three in the morning, going to pick up her fellow alaskan. that's what she liked to call herself and her dear friend since they just so happened to have the same name. it was unique- that was for sure; so to make it easier for themselves they simply called one another by nicknames. the brunette for instance had quite a few up her sleeve when it came to him. [ here. bring candy. ] is what she texted him as soon as she pulled into his driveway. this was a completely normal thing for the pair; either one or the other or even both wouldn't be able to sleep in the night, whether it might be something troubling them or simply something else entirely. they would ride the night away with the windows down and listen to music while confiding in one another, or simply understand that one just needed the other's company and sat in complete silence ( the candy simply being just because alaska loved sugar and she'd been craving it at the moment). sure, they were completely different people- but they kept each other grounded in a way. alaska kept her from getting too far into the clouds, and she kept getting too low.

“you know, i was thinking about heading to the beach this weekend? if you wanted to come with me.” sage offered, not looking up at the other. it wasn’t entirely that she was shy or anything, she was just worried that they’d say no.

“Oh my Lord, are you okay?!” Christian ran over, grabbing onto the arm of the person on the ground and helping them up. “That dude came out of nowhere, he nearly hit you with his car... did you get hurt?” He was already looking them over, checking for bruises and scrapes, scowling at the car with the screeching tires who was apparently hellbent on running over everyone in the neighborhood.
