Pretty much. They have some neat stuff going on(I adored Great War and SDC WoRs and the idea of Maidens even, Ruby’s silver eyes, Weiss’s arc with her family name, and the four kingdoms being so different and Atlas being militaristic ) like there is a hint of a good idea but it gets lost in writer’s trying hard to be EXTRA or getting lost in tired thropes and plot lines like with J*aune and the stock “dorky and clumsy boy with big dreams, that no one believes he can achieve because he’s behind everyone else”

aura deflects physical harm like bruises and wounds. it doesn't protect them from the impact, and neither does it dull the pain.

Doesn’t seem very useful if they can still feel pain. Yeah, like you won’t get a bruise from the impact but you’d still probably be thrown off guard and easier to beat up. And apparently the only source on that is from a livestream, so I’m still a little iffy. But it makes sense, I suppose.

But wait, doesn’t aura heal wounds sometimes like with Jaune? If that’s the case, why wouldn’t it be healing Qrow right now? What even replenishes aura? Is it like energy in general, like if you get tired you have to nap and then it’s recharged?

id supppose the only thing aura really protects you from is getting the actual 'damage' like if you get a concussion then yeah its gonna hurt a lot and it'll probably knock off a lot of your aura, but so long as its still up, no actual 'damage' can be done to your body. ofc adam cutting off yangs arm fucks that up but hey. what if theres a type of metal that can cut through aura or something. who knows.

Holy shit if Adam’s blade or anyone’s blade could cut through aura I feel like that’d make things have more weight to them but on the other hand I see millions of ocs coming.
