Jace and Snorunt, commissioned by Jace the Lyger
HUGE respect to Lyger (a highly notable and loyal Natsuiro Matsuri fan and dedicated vtuber translator) for bringing a youtube issue affecting vtubers to light and raising awareness for them
some of you might know about hololive’s Takanashi Kiara getting randomly banned without warning and then thankfully bouncing back with a clever “re-debut” stream, but other independent vtubers, such as Tobosoto Nema and Amane Lilia, were also hit by the random bans.
the youtube twitter claimed that warning emails had been sent for violations, but neither of the two had received such emails, and had their channels banned. being indie, it would be much harder for them to get back on their feet without a huge fanbase or company backing, but thanks to Lyger, awareness for the issue was raised, and enough voices sounded out at once for them to get their channels back and unbanned.
no doubt there are even more indie vtubers suffering from this incident, but thanks to people like Lyger, more and more channels are undoubtedly being restored.

3 Is A Band: Lyger
The first song I heard of the London three-piece Lyger was "I'm Gonna Destroy You", which I came across while listening through acts playing this year's SXSW. Simon Stark, Rich Leeds and Rob Emms who together make up Lyger, create music that is reminiscent of the best 90s alt-rock. Take from grunge and psychedelic, throw in some pop-hooks and killer vocals and you get Lyger's sound. A "classic" indie rock-trio, that surely is fun to see live, hence our pick today for #3IsABand.
Upon searching on YouTube for 'Lyger', I got prompted to lock for 'Tiger' instead, yet after insisting on 'Lyger', I got the choice between a Wrestler with that last name 'Liger' and eventually the band. At last. Here's the pretty cool band video for "Stroke".
Follow Lyger on Facebook and/or Twitter and listen to "Skinned Alive 2014".
