He closed his lips and managed a smile
As he headed full speed for the aisle
She grabbed for his throat
And started to gloat
This farce isn’t over by a mile
The guests gathered as one by the brook
The Church was ready and booked
The bride was bedazzled
The mother was frazzled
But the groom was giving THE LOOK
Tomorrow the fun shall start
We shall see the truth in the heart
Will expediency matter?
Will the paper flatter?
And who will take whose part?
“Will the truth be revealed in the end?,
She said to the closest of friends
“The thing that counts
