Everyone knows the joke. George R.R. Martin, Josh Whedon, and Steve Moffat walk into a bar. Everyone dies. Now, you can be a proud owner of The OftDead Club members shirt. There is a two death minimum to be a member. As Buffy said, "Hey, I died twice!"
Cause &Effect

Never considered the effect I had on you
Never thought of more than just today
Never considered the effect I had on you
Never wasted any of my time on you
Now I find I long for yesterday

I woke up this morning and I saw that you were gone
I can’t help feeling that I’ve done you wrong
This feeling in my chest wants to explode from me
This feeling wants you back where you belong

‘Cuz I never considered the effect I had on you
I never thought of more than just today
Never wasted any of my time on you
Now I find I long for yesterday

I’ve been wondering where you are and where you’ve gone
I woke up this morning reaching out for you
Something tells me I won’t like the answer
Something tells me I belong with you ____________________________________
‘Cuz I never considered the effect I had on you
I never thought of more than just today
Never wasted any of my time on you

It was so much easier when we were kids
The playground rules don’t apply today
I wonder if we’ll ever get back to that
I wonder if I’ll see you today

I never thought of more than just today
I never wasted any of my time on you

So the Dr told me the same thing I have been told before but it hit a bit harder this time. Get rid of the equipment you aren't using. (I'm paraphrasing.) I was writing poetry on the subject ten years ago, and I remember it being mentioned further back then that.
Apart
How I wish you were here
To keep away the fright
This decision isn't easy. This burden isn't light.

When the world seems weary
And pain blossoms bright
This decision isn't easy. This burden isn't light.

I'd sign away our future
To end my current plight
This decision isn't easy. This burden isn't light.

Will you come to hate me?
Will the pattern turn out right?
My decision isn't easy. Your burden isn't light.

Together
I see the path before me lying
I admit I couldn't before
I want to be there for your sorrow
That's what partners are for
I understand. I bear your burdens gladly.

The pattern is so clear now
As wheels unwind and turn
Were you to light the match
I'd simply watch the world burn
I understand. I bear your burdens gladly.

When our secrets are discovered
And all the world seems lost
We will burn together
No matter how high the cost
I understand. I bear your burdens gladly.

But when the tide is changing
And all the lights are pale
Will you stand beside me,
To finish the drawn out tale?
Do you understand? Will you bear my burdens gladly?____________________________________________________
Very Raw first attempt. It was supposed to be a love song. It ended up more like a Folksie sounding almost Church song. I think it needs another verse yet. And accompaniment. But as a WIP it's okay.
Come you masters of war
You that build the big guns
You that build the death planes
You that build all the bombs
You that hide behind walls
You that hide behind desks
I just want you to know
I can see through your masks
You that never done nothin’
But build to destroy
You play with my world
Like it’s your little toy
You put a gun in my hand
And you hide from my eyes
And you turn and run farther
When the fast bullets fly
Like Judas of old
You lie and deceive
A world war can be won
You want me to believe
But I see through your eyes
And I see through your brain
Like I see through the water
That runs down my drain
You fasten all the triggers
For the others to fire
Then you sit back and watch
When the death count gets higher
You hide in your mansion
While the young people’s blood
Flows out of their bodies
And is buried in the mud
You’ve thrown the worst fear
That can ever be hurled
Fear to bring children
Into the world
For threatening my baby
Unborn and unnamed
You ain’t worth the blood
That runs in your veins
How much do I know
To talk out of turn
You might say that I’m young
You might say I’m unlearned
But there’s one thing I know
Though I’m younger than you
That even Jesus would never
Forgive what you do
Let me ask you one question
Is your money that good?
Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could?
I think you will find
When your death takes its toll
All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul
And I hope that you die
And your death’ll come soon
I will follow your casket
By the pale afternoon
And I’ll watch while you’re lowered
Down to your deathbed
And I’ll stand o'er your grave
‘Til I’m sure that you’re dead
I was watching old musicals cause I have a stomach bug. I was having trouble with streaming Fiddler and Singing In the Rain is on a pay channel.(Yes, I own copies of both. They are on the third floor. I'm not walking up there while I'm sick.)
So I was watching Guys &Dolls and the Spanish lyrics were bugging me. I knew I didn't hear ojos(eyes) anywhere. Since it repeats twice in the English lyrics, I started to wonder. I did mirar(to look) so I knew it wasn't too far off. Sound engineering was not what then what it is today.
Luckily someone more persistent made an effort to track them down. They are a lot different in meaning from the English.

This is the best I could do from listening:
Alli en tu mirar cierta luz del amor,
La luz que quieres apagar.
Yo se, si yo se, es la luz del amor,
Cuando alumbra tu senda con amor.
Porque, porque ignorar este amor sin igual?
Porque este amor ocultas?
Alli en tu mirar cierta luz de amor
Y brillare para mi en total.
English:
There in your gaze (is) a certain light of love,
A light that you want to put out.
I know, yes I know it is the light of love,
When it illuminates your path with love.
Why, why ignore this light without equal?
Why do you hide this love?
There in your gaze (is) a certain light of love,
And it will shine for me alone.
So our local blood testing place has a board to inform you whose up next. Ironically, the screen next to it says travel destinations. So if you read it like that it looks sort of like Wal mart and Paris, France. I'll leave that last destination alone.
So this song popped into my head and I couldn't remember the last few verses. Of course, there have been different versions but I was just drawing a blank.
I forgot to post my hair when I got it done. Mainly because I fell into a dresser the next day. Ouch! I have been having a really long year. Is it December yet? LOL
Color is Metallic Amethyst Chrome with Metallic Dark Ruby Highlights. The hairdresser was skeptical of the highlight color working. When it was done, she was pleasantly surprised.
You can't see my shirt but it says, "Namast'ay home with my dog!"
