Funny how life works. One of the places I had prepared to buy tickets to visit back in March right before the pandemic hit was the Lynching Memorial in Montgomery because I hadn't been since the Nat Geo shoot a few years ago. At that time it wasn't completed when I made that visit so I didn't get to see it come fully to life. I also had a framed print of Bryan from the photoshoot years ago to hand to deliver when I made the trip. Fast forward a week ago... Well, I got a personal call from Bryan Stevenson and the EJI they asked would I come out to Alabama to photograph some of the new additions to the National Memorial for Peace and Justice and the Legacy Museum in addition to a breathtaking newly installed exhibit so I jumped at the opportunity. I can't say enough great things about the experience to photograph the museum and soak in all of history 🙏🏾 As a Black Man, this opportunity was one that I'll always cherish and hold near and dear to my heart 🙏🏾✊🏾 #photooftheday #blackhistory365 #africanamericanphotographer #lynchingmemorial #lynchingmuseum #portrait_vision #commercialphotographer #commercialphotography #dayinthelifeofaphotographer #eji #teamcanon #canonusa #wonderfulmachine #blackhistory https://www.instagram.com/p/CGIjQB-DqqJ/?igshid=icnz8zgr6suw
