This is a playlist for when you're feeling angry with the world. When the world is trying to tell you you're something you're not. You know yourself best and sometimes you just need to scream about it. It's cathartic. Link to the playlist here.
We're starting off strong tonight with some queer anarchy. Some anger at the system.
Fuck the Cistem - The Muslims
Queer as in Fuck You - Dog Park Dissidents
Bitchboy - The Oozes
Switching away from the anger at the systems set up against LGBTQ+ folk, we move on to the anger at the general systems of the world. This is a song by a wonderful band from the south of England, and whilst they have many songs about queer anarchy, this one's about Britain.
Fake Great Britain - Pink Suits
People - The 1975
Some 1975 to get the anger going there. They truly have such a wide range of sound in their discography. We start to move into the anger section of the playlist now, leaving the anarchy behind. But before we turn away completely, here's one more.
Go Get a Tattoo (feat. Lynks) - Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes (featuring Lynks)
The anger is really starting to build now, turn the music up loud and let yourself feel it. It's time to scream about it.
I Threw Glass at My Friend's Eyes and Now I'm on Probation - Destroy Boys
I'm Not Okay (I Promise) - My Chemical Romance
MCR really bringing in the nostalgic anger there, everyone might be telling you what they think you are, but sometimes you need to yell louder to be heard. Sometimes you need to get out there and feel the wind on your face, and run from your problems, so here's Hayloft for you.
Hayloft - Mother Mother
My Mother Wants Me Dead - carolesdaughter
A slightly calmer note from carolesdaughter there. My Mother Wants Me Dead is about all the pressure put on you by your parents. It's about the world around you trying to mould you into shape. And now, to really scream about it, we have Sum 41.
Screaming Bloody Murder - Sum 41
strawberry lipstick - YUNGBLUD
I hope the catharsis is building. I hope you're really feeling yourself now. We are still in the anger section, but this next one is a little more upbeat. It's just here to let you know we are in this together.
Fucked Up Just Like Me - Television Skies
Fences - Destroy Boys
Moving back into some final anger. We get gritty and distorted with the sounds.
Nightmares - Palaye Royale
Would You Push Me in the Nettles? - Bandit
Hayloft II - Mother Mother
And of course we have to have Hayloft II. A great story telling spread between the songs there, this is about taking it back for yourself.
abcdefu (angrier) - GAYLE
Fuck You - Lily Allen
the freak show - YUNGBLUD
With the freak show rounding up at the end of the anger segment, we want you to feel understood, we want you to know we stand with you, and we are all a bit of a wreck.
Tell Me I'm A Wreck - Every Avenue
Tonight In The Night I Die - Palaye Royale
With those final screams, we move fully into absolution. We are done with the anger, and we forgive you for its path. Sometimes we just need to let it out to move on. So we come with a switch in sound here. A total change in language even.
Судно (Борис Рыжий) - Molchat Doma
And finally, I will leave you with one more. I think we'll be alright, you know!
