Veron
11. In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?
Oh man, you really had to come out here and ask me that one huh? Well, there have been a lot of moments they’ve been truly afraid, like when the crew of the Orison managed to reunite them with Lynnet(whom of which was very worried for and upset with them) and the rest of the Magister’s Bounty once again, or how they felt after getting struck by lightning but… those pale in comparison to the whole Tali incident.
Sure those two other events were pretty stressful for them but good god was that whole excursion something entirely else. They firstly got wracked by the sentinels with that whispering attack that those things used, which used their captain’s own VOICE, no less, and that was very evocative of their panic during that time. She had really been in their mind for awhile ever since they heard about her from Florence that one time, and to hear her voice then! It kind of fucking sucked! Then the Gibbering Knight did even MORE by enveloping them whole after that, that shit was awful! And they’d just felt so proud of themselves for using Greg Jerald for the first time, now they’ve got really bad memories of seeing multiple eyes and not being able to breathe! So yeah, screw that noise. Veron can talk about almost any scary situation except that one, because that one just kind of makes them shudder and ask that the subject be changed. They don’t like talking about that one.
23. What does your character dislike in other people?
If I could be really specific with pet peeves they have with other people, they do really hate when people are inconsiderate, and barely think of anyone else whenever they do something. This disliking tends to manifest even when the person being inconsiderate didn’t mean to do so, like if they’re just having fun. Veron will usually get upset with someone if they are being being loud, even if they’re just being themselves. In a somewhat addition, Veron struggles to stand up for themselves and speak their mind if someone does something that bothers them so it just kind of seethes sometimes… they’re trying to get better at conveying their feelings, it’s just hard to do. They’re working on it.
Serendipity
44. How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you”? Can they say it without meaning it?
It entirely depends. Dippy’s had a bit of a subdued history with love that extends beyond familial and platonic love(both contexts of which, she can easily say that word) but under context of romantic attraction it takes her awhile to properly think of it as something to say, especially around Ayana. It’s after she confesses to Ayana that she just does nothing but say “I love you” and show small beads of affection towards her(holding hands, twining her tail with Ayana’s whenever they’re in Zodiac Champion form, just hanging out, baking…) and all her doubts about romantic feelings and how she feels about the both of them fly out the window. She cares a lot about what her SO thinks, she’s very compassionate and talkative as a partner.
As for if she could say it without meaning it… she hasn’t really fallen into that side yet(and hopefully won’t feel like that), since she’s still pretty new to relationships.
Lynnet
37. Is your character more concerned with defending their honor, or protecting their status?
Man, this question is a lot. Hmm. The subject of honor in the context of what she believes in, AKA, her crew being denounced as “petty/pilfering thieves” is touchy and she would definitely take issue and do what she can to defend them from that kind of slander without a doubt, because her crew and her work are so much more than just them stealing things! That only happens when it’s completely necessary, and it’s not like they take from the needy! But she’ll try to be at least civil in arguing if her and her crew’s honor is challenged. She knows that those kinds of comments are used to get a reaction or something out of her, and they never warrant an actual fight.
Status, on the other hand, only matters under really specific conditions. Social and professional settings are where she’ll be more likely to defend that, but most of the time it’s honor that matters most.
Nico
30. What does your character find repulsive or disgusting?
Nico has a bit of the privilege of not really being grossed out by much because of their upbringing with their siblings, so they’re not really bothered when people have weird tastes, like sure, whatever. They spice a lot of their food all the damn time they don’t really care. They were kind of a weird kid(very affectionate) growing up too. Not really bothered by bugs, snakes, or anything most people are typically grossed out by... Though. There is ONE thing their brother does, and its giving them a wet willie when they refuse to get out of bed when they’re at home. It’s done in good natured kind of “fuck you get up” sibling fun and all but Nico is both grossed out and annoyed by it. Bastard just won’t let them rest for once!
