How about single dad dean where he loses Emma in a supermarket and Cas finds her. Can be short or long but I'm a sucker for this meet cute
"Emma?" Dean looks around.
"Emma!" he calls when he doesn’t see her little figure anywherearound.
"EMMA!" he yells again, desperation creeping into his voice.
Stupid fucking phone call. He’s only looked away for a moment while talkingwith his boss and now his daughter is gone, lost somewhere in a huge mall.
He takes a deep breath trying to calm himself, but his heart is racing andhis stomach is tying itself into knots. He’s gonna find her, she’s alright, probably just went back to the toy store or the food corner or the bathroom.
"I’m sorry, did you see a little girl? Yea high, sandy hair, pink sweatshirt?"he asks for the third time and the stranger shakes his head.
Dean clenches his fists and squeezes his eyes shut fighting back a panicattack.
What should he do? There should be someone he can tell and they will callout her name, right? Or should he call the police? He’s listing his options ashe jogs through the mall looking left and right.
His heart skips a beat when he sees a flash of blond and pink through thecrowd. He runs faster praying to god it’s really her. When he’s close enough,he sees it really is his baby girl and that there's a dark-haired man in atrenchcoat holding Emma’s hand.
"Let go of her, you creep," he shouts when he’s right behind them. The man looks over his shoulder and stops but doesn’t let go of Emma until shecalls "Daddy!" and runs into Dean’s arms.
Dean lifts her up, squeezing her tightly as she wraps her legs around historso.
"You got me so scared, ladybug," he mumbles into her hair, hisvoice breaking a little.
"I was scared too," she says. "But Cas here helped me,"she adds pointing at the perv who has the audacity to keep standing rightthere.
"I bet he did," Dean growls shooting the man a murderous stare. Hedoesn’t seem bothered by it.
"She was crying so I calmed her down," he says.
"He gave me this!" Emma says showing Dean a little brass angel, akeychain.
"I was about to take her to the customer service desk so they wouldcall out her name."
Dean hesitates. It’s something a pedophile would say as an excuse, butit could be true. The man looks like a tired office worker in his wrinkled suitand crooked blue tie, not like a kidnapper.
"Thank you," Dean says eventually and offers his hand. "I’mDean."
"Castiel. You’re welcome. You must have been worried." His hand isdry and warm and he’s smiling now - more with his eyes than with his lips. Deanrealizes he’s quite handsome.
"Yeah, she’s all I’ve got." Dean kisses Emma’s cheek beforeputting her down on the floor. "You can’t leave on your own likethat," he says in his parenting voice.
She looks at him through her long lashes. "I’m sorry," she pipesup. "I saw a cute little doggie and followed him. I didn’t know you didn’tsee where I was going."
Dean sighs. How can he be mad at her when she looks at him like this?
"Well, all that matters now is that we’re back together and nothing badhappened to you."
She nods. "Thanks to Cas and his angel!" she says.
Dean smiles and looks at Castiel. "Right. Can I buy you a coffee to showmy gratitude?"
"That’s very nice of you, but-"
"Yes! Cas, please! Come with us!" Emma cries out clapping herlittle hands.
"Well, I’d use a good cup of coffee," Cas answers with a warmsmile and Emma squeals in glee. She surprises both of them when she grabs eachof their hands and drags them to the food corner.
"I hope you like pie," Dean says when he places the tray in frontof Cas. There are two slices of pie, two coffees, a milkshake, and a minidoughnut.
"I do," Cas says, "thank you." There’s something quietand shy about him that makes Dean want to get to know him better. Theincredible color of his eyes and the shape of his lips might play a role inthat too.
"You know they make bracelets for kids where you can write your phonenumber for situations like this?" Cas says, "My boy used to wear one.He was always running away."
"You have kids?" Dean asks, surprised for some reason.
"Yes, but Jack’s already at College."
Dean raises an eyebrow. "You don’t look that old," he says andimmediately realizes how bad that sounded. "I’m sorry, you don’t look oldat all, I just-"
Cas laughs it off. "That’s okay, I know what you meant. We adopted Jackwhen he was eight and his mother - my partner’s sister - died."
"My mom died when I was born," Emma says and Dean almost chokes onhis pie.
"I’m very sorry, sweetheart," Cas says. Emma nods with a seriousexpression.
"It’s sad, but she’s an angel now, looking after me from heaven,"she says and swings Cas’ keychain in the air. "Like this one!" sheadds. "Maybe she made us meet so you could help me find dad!"
"That’s very possible," Castiel says, smiling at her. Dean watchesthem in awe.
"What’s adopted?" she asks, her big eyes intent on Cas.
"It means he wasn’t born into our family, but we brought him into it whenhe lost his."
Emma nods and slurps her milkshake. Dean hopes it’s the end of her inquiry, but she continues.
"What’s a partner?"
Cas seems taken aback by that. He looks at Dean with uncertainty in his face.
"When a man and woman love each other, they get married and becomehusband and wife, right?" Dean explains in his stead, "When a manloves a man they become husbands or partners."
Emma nods, picks up her doughnut and shoves it into her mouth. Dean huffsout a laugh. He looks at Cas who’s watching her with a fond smile.
"So you have a husband?" Emma asks with her mouth still full.
"Not anymore. We broke up."
"You stopped loving each other?" she asks. Dean opens his mouth tochastise her for being nosy but Cas is quicker with his reply.
"Not exactly. We just didn’t want to be together anymore," hesays. Emma nods with a very mature expression on her face.
"It happens," she says patting Cas’ hand. "Daddy used to havea boyfriend but they broke up too."
"Emma!" Dean gasps. He feels his cheeks warming up.
He looks at Cas sheepishly. "Kids, they spill out everything."
Cas smiles. Crow’s feet appear around his eyes and his nose scrunches. It’sadorable. Dean thinks about how his stubble must feel and realizes he’sgrinning back.
"You should be boyfriends!" Emma cries out suddenly.
Dean looks at her in shock. She looks proud of herself and her bright idea.
"What? You both like boys! And I like him."
"I’m flattered, sweetie, but I don’t think it’s enough for your fatherto want to become my boyfriend," Castiel says. His voice is calm and quietbut his cheeks have a pink tint to them that wasn’t there before.
"But he likes you. I can tell!" she says lifting her chin up.
"Can you?" Cas lifts an eyebrow.
"Yes, he looks at you like a prince when he wants to kiss aprincess."
"Oh, really?" Cas turns his blue eyes to Dean and Dean’s cheeksmust catch fire because they feel really hot.
"I...uhm..."
"Do you think he wants to kiss me?" Castiel is talking to Emma, but his eyes are fixed on Dean’s.
"Yes. I don’t know why he doesn’t do that."
"Maybe he doesn’t want to do it here?"
"Yes! That must be it!"
"Maybe I should take him somewhere more romantic?"
"Yes!"
"But what about you? Would you go with us?" Cas turns to Emma andDean feels like he can breathe again.
Emma makes a disgusted sound. "Nah! I don’t want to see you kissing!Uncle Sam can look after me."
"That’s a good idea. So where should I take your daddy to convince himhe wants to kiss me?"
Emma tilts her head, deep in thought.
"He likes movies and burgers," she says, "and driving hiscar. And sunsets!"
"Hmm, wait, I need to take notes," Cas replies and picks a pen anda notepad from his bag.
"Movies, burgers, driving his car and sunset. Anything else?"
"Music. The one with guitars and drums and men singing about love butthey kinda sound like yelling."
"Oh, I know that kind of music," Cas replies seriously and writesit down. "So you think if I take your dad to watch a movie and eat a burgerwith me and then make him drive his car somewhere where we can watch the sunsetwhile his music is playing, he would kiss me?"
"Yes! And then you’d be boyfriends!"
"That’s a good plan. When should we do that?"
"Tomorrow!" Emma squeals.
"I think tomorrow is good, what do you think, Dean?"
"Uhm, what?" Dean shakes his head, confused. He thought the whole conversation was just a weird dream but now he has a creeping suspicion it’sreal.
"I take you to movies and burgers and sunset watching so we can becomeboyfriends. Tomorrow. If you want."
"Say yes, you dumbass."
"Don’t call your father a dumbass, young lady."
"Sorry," she mutters.
"So?" Cas turns back to Dean. He’s all serious but the corners ofhis lips are twitching.
Dean exhales heavily. "Alright, tomorrow."
Castiel grins brightly. "Will you give me your phone number so I cancall you?" he asks and shoves his notepad into Dean’s hands.
Dean writes down his number, still feeling like he’s in trance.
"Well, I’m really sorry, I have to go now. But I’m very happy I metyou, princess, and your handsome father." He ruffles Emma’s hair before standingup and she giggles even though she hates when Dean does the same to her.
She lifts the brass angel to give it back but Cas shakes his head."Keep it. I think it wants you to have it."
"Thank you, Cas!" she squeals and climbs on her chair so she canthrow her arms around him. He chuckles and squeezes her lightly.
"Be a good girl and stay near your dad, alright?"
"I will, promise!"
"Good," Cas nods before turning to Dean. "See youtomorrow," he says and gives him the most exaggerated wink the world hasever seen. Dean can’t help but chuckle.
Cas waves at them and leaves. Dean watches before the crowd swallows him, then he looks at his daughter.

If you reply to a post like this, I actually can’t tell if it’s meant for me or someone who reblogged this from me :) If it is meant for me, it’s best to send it as an ask.
eyeoftheackles replied to your post “I've done a lot of "send me prompts" posts in the past but I'm...”
yes, i had sent one recently before.
Yeah, I know. I’m sorry I didn’t fill it, but like I always say I’m never gonna be able to fill every prompt I get. They just don’t all spark inspiration for me, even when they’re good prompts, and I can’t force that.

If its not making you happy to be there and You're not taking classes that are going towards your degree I'd go home. There is no shame in admitting that something is just not for you. You don't sound particularly excited about the city or the classes and to me that just seems like a waste. What are you missing out on at home by forcing yourself to do something that isn't making you happy?
isn’t this great i asked for advice and then ignored it i suck i’m sorry. i stumbled upon your reply while linking this post to the one i just made where i talk about how i now decided to go home. thank you so much for reaching out, your words help make me feel better towards accepting it and moving on. it’s still so hard tho, because now that it’s decided of course now i’m starting to romanticize all that could have been had it worked out. i’m real big on ‘what if scenarios’. and it just frustrates me how it was all kinda out of my hands.....
