Here are the Squad's closest neighbors, the Hutches.

They're a well-off farming family that's known and loved in the community. The father, Holland, rents out a tree house he owns to Anna Merrimouser and lets her come help on his farm as a way to partially pay for it (Anna is mainly paid by the city for being a "hero handler", but to her, it's just parenting a bunch of superheroes and making it a government-assigned job annoys her--even if she does get the money needed to take care of the kids).

When the Squad's specialized group home had been destroyed by Licorice, Holland had offered the tree house out of gratitude over a couple of her kids saving his life by driving off a snake that bit him and flying him to a hospital. Since then, he and Anna have been close friends, both being the down-to-earth type (though Holland has a cooler head while Anna can be pretty feisty), and having a shared pain of losing a spouse.

Holland has several children of his own, but most of them have grown up and moved out, living their own lives. The two youngest are still living with him--16-year-old Barlow and 14-year-old Eartha are classmates to Bita and Iceham, being mostly friendly towards them. Barlow does have a little tendency to be kind of an annoying jerk, and is a musical rival towards Bita (though he's on drums in his band, the Incisors)--however he does have some of his father's grounded views and can be pretty insightful and helpful. Eartha is a peppy sports girl with an added interest in geology, and is happy to babysit the younger Merrimousers when needed.

Holland does often act as a surrogate father figure to the Squad, giving them advice when needed, telling them off when they do something bad, and even teaching them some of his skills. The boys of the Squad especially like going to him for whatever reason.

Even if Anna does remarry and give the kids a stepfather, Holland's still willing to be a friend to the Merrimouser family no matter what.

Let's consider this an early Mother's Day thing. :)

Anyway, got this idea while listening to this on a walk, and I figured it was an early thing that Apple would do with the help of one of his parents before he got the hang of flying.

Anna does have that normal mother worry of "What if my baby gets hurt?", but yanno, the kid's got wings, he's got to learn to use them somehow. And this is better than jumping off a roof.

Been fascinated by the yordles of League of Legends lately (even though I don't play the game; lore's fun to read though). Because of course I like the cute, fuzzy little guys that can kick your butt. I may even have a couple of yordle OCs of my own, hurr hurr.

I might have taken some minor artistic liberties when drawing these guys, but I aimed to keep them recognizable.

Thought coming up with a stylized title for my little band of superpowered critters like it was an official book, comic, or TV series would be fun.

...in my years of having this rabbit in my OC roster, I can't believe that not once have I thought to involve her in an Easter pic. Well, I might as well do that now!

Plus, it's April Fool's Day, might as well stick her in an outfit she'd hate.

She prefers wearing darker colors and no frills.
