Lyudmila (Star City) x Irina
Vines can form symbiotic relationships with what they climb, forming a beautiful structure. Lyudmilla thought about that when Irina Vasilievna joined her at Star City. Even more so when she found found the variation of the frequency within Star City’s broadcast that Western countries were using to spy on the Soviet space program. It allowed Lyudmilla to eliminate the threat that would allow America and that Nazi land on the moon first and maintain Soviet space supremacy.
Irina Vasilievna was so eager to learn and Lyudmilla eager to teach. The girl was smart, devious and she had to admit, beautiful. Lyudmilla taught her how to use all those attributes to ferret out enemies of the people.
Some vines though, destroy the scaffolding they grow upon. Lyudmilla forgot that the very things she taught Irina Vasilievna could be used against her. That she could worm her way into Lyudmila’s bed and even into her heart.
She didn’t realize it until it was too late. She was already out the doors when she saw Irina Vasilievna observe her removal from the walls of windows overlooking the courtyard. She saw her triumphant grin. Lyudmila now knew who her replacement would be.
