His ears won’t stop ringing, the whole room feels swimmy, he can barely stand, he’s been inflicted with a chronic stabbing-like pain, and on top of all that, someone shot him in the shoulder. He’s in far too much pain to fix the wound, much less do anything else.

Noel sits near motionless on his bed, his hands covering his ears as he breathes heavily, shaking all over.

“I’d rather die a thousand times over than deal with this...!” he hisses under his breath, wincing in pain. What did he do to deserve this...?

The visions had been stopped for nearly two days now.

And it was still hard to get out of bed. You didn’t want to move, didn’t want to come out of the protective shell that was your blankets. You’d barely even been online.

You manage to drag your computer out, your last post with fashion choices almost mocking you with its supposed cheerfulness. It was supposed to be a distraction at the time but the only distraction you’d been able to actually get any use out of was your music.

You take a deep breath, and sigh as you log onto tumblr. Maybe there would be someone else’s drama to take your mind off your own fucking failures.

Two days of living nightmares and the screams of the damned.

You were going insane and nothing was stopping the quick downhill slide.

Tonight found you curled in your bathtub with the water as hot as you could stand it pouring over you from the shower. The presence of something physical was the only thing keeping your fragile hold on this reality intact.

It’s been hours. You know because of the clock steadily ticking on the wall. Not that you can hear the ticking over the voices of course.

Other than your occasional glances at the clock, you have kept your eyes firmly shut, even though it didn’t help. He was always there, looking at you with blood dripping from the corner of his mouth and always reaching to you to catch him. You were there too late. And of course, she is nearby, trails of green on either side of her face, dripping from under her curtain of hair. She looks terrified, and huddles in a corner far from you and him.

It doesn’t matter if your eyes are open or shut. You still see them. And their voices still echo, “too late, too late, your fault, your fault, why didn’t you save us?”

You are going to go insane. Maybe you’re already gone. But you can’t do this, not anymore, not alone. And so you try to get to your husktop, try to send out a message to someone, anyone, who can come help.

M!A: Living Nightmares + Hear No Evil for 3 days

(Living Nightmares:Muse is plagued by hallucinations of their worst nightmares.

You are absentmindedly typing something, your lip between your fangs like it always was when you were concentrating on something. And then you hear a whisper, like from ages ago, a voice calling out to you for help. And panicked, you turn around, fangs digging into your lip and drawing little beads of yellow blood.

No one there. Just a fading memory. You shake your head and turn back around to your screen.

It’s open to Trollian. It’s open to HIS message. You were just on tumblr you swear to god!

You jump up, shake your head, trying to clear it. You were fine, it was just a long day with no sleep right?

But then there’s another scream, her scream, in your ears just like that night. And when you look down your hands are covered in green and purple. “It was your fault,” the voices chanted, and you look up with eyes wide and dilated with fear and you see his crumpled form looking at you. “Your fault they’re gone, your fault your fault”

A heartwrenching scream tears its way from your chest and you fall backwards and curl against a wall.
