The entire night had been a blur, he knew he had taken it too far but he didn't think it would be this bad... Eventually his eyes opened and groaned when he realised he was in a hospital "shit" he muttered under his breath, squeezing his eyes closed hoping he was imagining it but he was snapped back to reality as he heard someone walk in.

Cosette was already flopped on the large, obscenely soft bed in their bridal suite, still in her wedding gown, and idly picking bobby pins out of her curls while she waited for her new husband, doing whatever it was that he was doing in the bathroom. "Love?" she called, "Are you already putting pajamas on?"

War and Peace [Combeferre and Grantaire]

The stench of blood and gunpowder filled his nostrils. Burning flesh, decaying bodies... If he hadn't been out here as long as he had, the smells would have made him sick. As it was, he was accustomed to the battlefield now. Fighting in a war he didn't even believe in because he was forced to protect his country and their twisted ideals. Before this, Grantaire had been part of the rebellion trying to overthrow the people who had caused this.

When he came face to face with the soldier in glasses, none of his regiment were near him. He dropped his gun and held his hands up in surrender. "Kill me or take me prisoner, either way, I surrender myself to your control". If he died, perhaps he'd get some peace. If he lived, he'd be on the side he supported.

The wine flowed freely last night, someone celebrated his birthday, or at least Eponine thought so... she couldn't really tell right now... She groaned and tried to roll over... and frowned as she couldn't actually move. Something was wrapped around her and held her tightly... an arm... not her arm... an arm of a man... She tilted her head back, slowly, and caught the glimpse of a familiar face. Oh...
