I just like chinese and hate french#(sorry)#basically we were in the kitchen and my dad decides that it's a Fun Thing To Do to tell me what to get for him in french#he has lived in France and therefore knows crockery words. I have not.#he is pointing to spices and herbs etc and telling me their names. I look at him in despair. 'father'#I say#'there are SO MANY words'#flashback for the audience to earlier that day: I open my chinese book. smile at the different ways all highlighted#to say 'abandon' and 'forsake'. I look up at the camera#'isn't it wonderful?' I say#'chinese has so many words!'
