An Avatar: The Last Airbender Modern!AU where Hakoda got together with Bato after Kya died. Bato is a pro hockey player and Hakoda played in school, so naturally Katara and Sokka are hockey babies. They moved around a bit and ended up graduating from high school in Toronto (but they mostly grew up in Nunavut)
Katara ends up on the women’s Olympic team for Canada and being bomb af. She goes to McGill.
Sokka plays too but at SAMWELL UNIVERSITY where he is in the same year as Larissa “Laredo” Duan and lives in the house with the cast of OMG! Check Please!
Suki is Sokka’s best friend at college and she used to play women’s hockey but switched to rugby when she got to college.
Zuko is Sokka’s high school sweetheart (after they had a little bit of bumpy start). They are long distance while Zuko studies art history at UBC. They both are pathetically missing each other all the time.
Yue and Suki are sickeningly in love. They met through Suki coming to visit Nunavut one break and Sokka introducing her to his middle school gf (Yue). The two hit it off and Yue realizes she’s himbo-sexual. Suki and Sokka miss their long distance lovers and pine together at school.
Mai is Zuko’s childhood best friend and Ty Lee was Azula’s. They both attend UBC with Zuko. Zuko feels like a third wheel without Sokka.
Aang goes to University of Toronto and takes trains to visit Katara whenever he can. Toph and Azula are there too. They might be getting feels for each other.
Sokka is always talking about all the people from home that he misses and Bitty thinks they are all Sokka’s girlfriends (cus comp het start of OMG! CP for Bitty). Silly Bitty.
Bato played on a team with Jack’s dad for a bit so Sokka and Jack are pals from that lowkey.
Lardo and Sokka and Ransom bond over being QPOC in the Haus ☺️
