the squad as vines 3 ft. some muses from @a-simple-rper
@a-simple-rper liked for a Riven starter
Damn it, this always seemed to happen. His mechanical arms were more trouble nowadays then they seemed to be worth. Actually, no, he really needed to pick stuff up but was being overdramatic as always. Still, fumbling with his left hand to fix the loose bolt in his right arm, Riven huffed, more angry than needed be.
He looked up to see the person standing in front of the door. The room was empty save him. “Uh, sorry. I’ll be out soon.” Riven began speeding up the tightening process on the bolt. A sudden waft of anxiety washed over him. He knew most people had an unfavorable opinion on mutants, but man-made mutants were a whole other thing. He always got weird looks from other people in the school because of it. His anxiety caused him to drop the screw driver.
“Damn it.”

NEW MUSES
Meet some new babies! First we have Link Jones
He’s powerless, but is an expert in all weaponry and is just overall one cool kid.
Here is Link’s twin sister Lucy! She has powers similar to Rogue from X-Men, and is Audrey’s hoe-in-crime
And finally Riven Stone, once powerless now a man-made mutation with robot parts and a mechanical glass surrounding his heart to keep him alive.
Merry Christmas! ~from Jodie to Riven
Jodie had honestly spent a lot of time thinking about what to get Riven, and setting the gifts in front of him, she gave him a smile. “Okay, okay, so I got you a few things, and I hope you like them.”
The first two gifts were in boxes, and when opened they would reveal plushies of both Viper and Mr.Roboto, with a little note tagged into the arm of Mr.Roboto; it read: “You’re more than valued, and people look up to you a whole lot more than you realise, Toaster Boy :)”
The second gift was a piece of clothing, and when the wrapping was taken off, it would reveal… an Iron Man hoodie, obviously, because as much as Jodie could be considerate, she was also a little ass at times. It was her most prized personality trait.
The third and final gift was in a large box, and when opened it was revealed to be a plaque, with Riven’s name spelled out on it… in blue and silver flowers. Jodie gestured to the flowers. “They’re alive, but they won’t die. I figured out how to make them stay alive for good, and I thought you should get my first attempt at eternal flowers.”
When the gifts were placed in front of him, Riven blinked. He could have sworn that there was this unspoken rule that gifts and holidays like this wouldn’t be that big of a deal. Clearly he was wrong. “Jodie, this is all incredibly nice but you didn’t have to.” Sighing, Riven moved his book out of the way and pulled the boxes in his lap, reluctance tugging at his features.
The plushies were cute. Really cute. He couldn’t keep his laughter at bay with those. “These are super cute, thank you,” With a shake of his head, Riven put the plushes aside and opened the second box. He laughed a little bit more, holding it up. “The Iron Man joke is never gonna die, will it? Either way, this is great, thank you.”
The third gift got a genuine, soft smile out of him. The plaque was beautiful, and would round out the room he shared with Alex and Link rather nicely. He stood up and pressed a soft kiss onto the top of Jodie’s head. “That’s beautiful. Thank you, really.”
She didn't know whether Riven knew this, but at some point, Jodie had got Kat to give her a monitor for Riven. Just to make sure he was sleeping okay. Because usually he didn't - not recently, anyway. As soon as she heard his cry she was out of bed, pulling herself into her chair and wheeling her way down to his room. She didn't knock before entering, heading straight for his bed and resting a hand on his shoulder gently. "Riven? Riv? Riv, it's okay. It's just a nightmare. It's not real."
It’s Just a Nightmare|| @illicreatxm
It wasn’t a nightmare. It was real. The memories of the attack that cost him his arms, his brain, his heart, his lungs, his brother, and his father. The attack that still gives him the phantom feelings of his flesh and bone arms. It hurts. And that memory haunts his dreams, and it always pops up when he least expects it. The moment his heart protector, or as everyone liked to call it his ‘off brand Tony Stark Arc Reactor’, was implanted he was told he needed to keep his stress and anxiety under control or it could cause irreversible damage to his heart. Gripping tightly onto the cold metal surface, he turned to see Jodie in the doorway.
“That’s the thing, Jodie. It is real. It’s too real. It’s a memory i just want to erase but I can’t. I can never, oh my God,” One hand rested on his stomach and the other clasped on his mouth. He felt sick. “Can you get me the bucket, please? We keep it by the trash can. I feel sick.”
