After years of his adoptive daughters flying the coop and traversing the world, Marcel was appreciative that Holly and Sovaia not only resised in Palmview now but that they both worked in the same Mango Bay district Retro Roots was located in. With all of them within walking distance, it made setting up quick dates that much easier. Today, he sat alongside Sovaia at one of the provided tables. Lunch having been eaten and settling in their stomachs, he turned to his daughter, "Are you heading back to the gallery after this? If so, I'll walk with you. New season, new works, I've yet to check out." He picked up his cucumber lemonade, swirling it in circles to break up the ice that had compacted together, "Plus, I've got a question to ask."

"Either all those mimosas I had earlier are finally hitting or you really are Miss Cecily Cassidy!" Marcel had spent the last ten minutes trying to place where he knew the young blonde from before it finally hit him and he excitedly hurried over to take a seat across the table, "I'm joking, of course. I've only had one so far. But you are Cecily, aren't you? Out of all the novelas I followed, Country Roads was one of the best! And it's no coincidence it was up for an Emmy after you joined the cast." He extended a hand, "I'm Marcel Rio. Trust me when I say pleasure is all mine. Have you come to Palmview for a little summer sun and relaxation?"

Pearl's seafood Bistro ▸ Marcel & Julianna @femininomencn

After much needed attending to at Cove Wellness Center's, Marcel had suggested lunch at the seafood bistro to follow up. Splurge days with Julianna were a long-standing ritual, going far back to the days when she was married to that two-bit ingrate and he himself was finding his footing with Retro Roots. Presently , it was better times as he scooped mango ceviche onto a tostada piece. "This year marks ten years that Nathaniel and I have been together," he paused to take a bite of his lunch, "We wanted to celebrate the occasion but have been waffling between having a small reception or throwing a big bash. What do you think? Do you have any lavish dresses you have yet the occasion to flaunt at?"

"Now boarding first class," Marcel announced as the tray of margarita flights was placed in front of him, each glass a singular color to make the rainbow flag. An ambitious order--too ambitious for him to finish himself. He looked to the other standing by the bar and motioned at the drinks, "Having all of these will have me grounded before take off, actually. Please, help yourself to a glass--no bag check needed." He took the yellow glass himself, mango being the superior flavor out of all and took a quick sip. "I don't recall the dance floor being this packed in a hot minute! It's like the People were waiting for the throwbacks to throw it back. Have you gotten down yet or are you waiting for a particular anthem?"

Marcel was busy behind the counter, organizing a large plastic tote containing items placed on hold. On occasion, someone would request an item and if it happened to pop up at a garage or estate sale, he'd set it aside. It was a perk reserved only for his favorite regulars and not a service he usually provided. He placed a small collection of Rolling Stone cassettes into the bin along with a couple of baseball trading cards. At that moment, the bell chime of the front door went off and he peeked over the counter. "Your sense of timing is impeccable!" he waved them over with a grin. "It didn't take me long to come across what you were looking for. Fate herself took some time out of her day to push me in the right direction." He picked up the tote and placed it on top of the counter to greet the familiar face with a smile, "If I hadn't gotten turned around and ended up on that dead end street, I wouldn't have come across that yard sale." He motioned inside the bin, "Now, if you're no longer interested that is fine. I'm sure it will find a new home in no time."
