The border of you state looks like this when a crab defines it :-) a fascinating story from #hesse. In #Wilmshausen, a Hessian village not far from #Münden, there was a disagreement between the municipality and a neighbor regarding their border. They did not really know how to solve the issue. Finally they decided to catch a crab and let it run across the disputed field. Following its footsteps they would settle the landmark. The crab ran on the field so wonderfully and cut crosses after crosses, that a strange border with many corners and angles was created here. *Isn't this a fascinating explanation why the border of the mediaeval German village, the gateway of Odenwald? Since the village was developed, it's was an area of constant dispute among many noble Families as well as royalties from German and Frank descent.
