When I tell you making this took me so long, I mean that incredibly literally (fr in the time it took me to write the whole thing and caption the sections on the actual video I listened to an entire TAZ: Balance episode) but I think it's funny so it's worth it

the episode is chilling and eerie and action packed and full of friendship and conflicting perspectives on the world and i love it so so so so so so much and i'm going to miss this podcast SO MUCH

i wanted to get the poster to remind me of the episode but shipping was more than the cost of the poster lmao

also i hate dark matters for preventing rita from giving jet a hug.

feeling sooo mentally ill with it tonight. i want to live in the universe where m'tendere didn't have to die. i want them to have lived and sung again and made something worthwhile and played their guitar in the streets of le verrier and found peace with what they have created both in the past and the present. i want them to have been able to prove jet right on his claim that the collision of the both of them would no longer be deadly, that they both could do good and could do it together. they died unfulfilled, their net profit of good not allowed the chance to rise from its negative state, and just as they'd been trying to do something about it. and while, yes, their final moments proved to be a massive help in something that would save millions, but they did not live to see such an achievement. i am so so sad they did not live to see it..

I've just got to geek out about the song "Any Day Now" from the Penumbra Podast. It is such a hunting little melody that is so fitting for both Jet and M'Tendere. It is a song about letting your past go and let yourself become a new person. Majorly though forgiving yourself and letting yourself change.

Jet who is saying that he isn't that person anymore because he no longer relys on the drugs that he used to, and while that is true he still is trying to convince himself of that fact. M'Tendere has already accepted that they are no longer the same perskn, but is hunted by their past and is trying so hard to help people to fix their wrongs. M'Tendere is trying to show Jet that he doesn't have to fully divorce himself from his past to become and better person. And this song encapsulates it fully.

Also Anjimile, who wrote and performed this song has such a beautiful voice. It really fits both characters so well.

Random Junoverse Headcanons

Rita is adopted and has many parents who are in a polyamorous relationship

Rita and Jet are both autistic. They have the autistic to autistic communication that even Juno doesn't understand sometimes

Nureyev has ADHD, but has absolutely no idea that he has ADHD. However, he and Rita can ADHD to ADHD communicate and Juno sometimes watches them interact and is completely baffled. It's like they're speaking a different language to him

Rita and Juno do not realize that Nureyev does not realize he has ADHD. It is so obvious to them and they'll mention it and Nureyev is like "what? Of course I'm neurotypical"

He's not. He has ADHD and he's bipolar. He's just in denial, smh

Vespa has actually always been psychotic. She's just in intense denial about it and it was made substantially worse by the stress of her medical debt/losing Buddy/other factors. She hasn't actually been all the affected by radiation. It's just a conversant excuse so she doesn't have to examine her own mental health

Jet is faceblind and does not realize that other people can recognize people's faces without purposefully memorizing certain features

Vespa would be more of a dog person than a cat person. She actually enjoys that you can tell a dog's emotions easier than a cat's

Mick and Juno kissed during the haunted house story

Growing up, Juno had a huge crush on Sasha because she could kick his ass

Mick thought he had a crush on Juno for many years, but he actually just really appreciated his friendship

Mick is terrible at being able to differentiate between romantic attraction and platonic feelings

Benzaiten had a huge crush on Mick growing up

Benzaiten was gay and polyam. He was often in open relationships

Benzaiten, similar to Juno, often ended up in relationships that were really unhealthy for him. He felt the need to "fix damaged people", so he was drawn to people who treated him poorly

Benten actually had DID, but Juno just didn't realize

Benzaiten felt responsible for not "protecting" Juno from their mother's abuse since he was treated as the "favorite"

Mick always wanted siblings and was super jealous of Juno and Sasha for having siblings

The language of Solar was created by a computer to be a universal language and it isn't actually easy for infants to learn since it doesn't account for what sounds babies are capable of making

M'tendere was in foster care growing up

M'tendere is hard of hearing and made their own hearing aids as well as other aids because they hate how price gouged everything is for disabled people

There's a ladies' night aboard the Carte Blanche as well as a gentlemen's night. While the ladies love their night, Jet and Nureyev dread their night each time it approaches
