Daiya would never really know the weight he took off Takemichi’s shoulders with those words. It was a comfort to have somewhere to turn to. When home isn’t safe… when it isn’t a place you can rest in and feel secure then having somewhere to go was a the pillar that kept Yukimaru standing. He sighed shakily past his blue lips, not paying mind to the cold assaulting them right now.
How could he really? Soaked to the bone, the guard found his focus drifting. Away from his worries and his insecurities for now, away from his situation and to the arms that slowly circled his waist. He was brought to stand at the tips of his toes, chilled lips met in warm kisses in spite of the rain. Again and again, until Takemichi had fallen into answering each peck, moving soft and easy into each touch. Daiya’s affection strayed over his skin, each a declaration of affection which slowly assuaged the ache in Yukimaru’s chest. By the time he was rested down, he no longer felt the need to cry nor the worry of his locked home. He felt as light headed as he did light hearted.
So, pressed up against his leader, one arm winding around the other’s back so as to refuse distance between them, the blond followed. The destination didn’t matter terribly as long as Daiya was nearby. After all, Takemichi felt safe not in a place, but by his leader’s side.
Both lost in thought, their bodies kept warm through the wet against each other, Daiya taking the initiative to take him back home. To his own home, which he would declare to be Takemichi’s second home. Majority of the walk was under covers, but closer to the house they came, the more wet they got.
There was never any hurry though, just both of them thinking through the sound of raindrops pattering against the pavement below. Daiya’s mind was absolutely swimming, swarmed with thoughts of Takemichi. He couldn’t picture what was wrong exactly, but he had noticed long before just how at times things could weigh down on his shoulders. He thought that way, all the way home until it drove him inside, halting their walking up the path to the door and kissing him again.
Maybe it was just the rain now, chilling his mind and deluding him into thinking that smothering Takemichi with his lips right now was the best thing he could do to help. It felt so good though, making it hard for him to stop. Once again, each initial kiss was soft but quick, as though warming him up before walking him closer to the stair railing, pressing him up against it so that he could kiss him even more, letting the rain wash over them as he did so.
It was no good... He knew that. But for the life of him, just couldn’t stop.
