I was already of the opinion that vitimir and adrian should kiss. it only took about an hour of staring at nothing and brewing headcanons to be of the mind that hettie and adrian should kiss, also. and enough hettimir propaganda has pushed me to polyamory.

Onaga's bloodline is spread apart enough that the Draakong are their own race/species (albeit a small one). Polygamy was the norm at the time, so it wasn't odd for Isla to have two husbands. Plus, all the cross-breeding and bad gene combos over time have left some Draakong with reproductive defects. If one spouse couldn't give you children, you find another. Having kids was rather important to a species of such small numbers. The population wasn't helped when Edenians started enlisting them as weapons for war.

Long story short, the Edenians feared Onaga's strength and enlisted his own kin to take him down. These three were the optimal choice. Any Draakong who wasn't stationed in Edenia for some reason related to fighting was in a far-off state working on a farm.
