Ore Monogatari was one of the many fandoms that @portraitofa-girl brought to my attention, and she asked for my fall headcanons about Yamato and Takeo.
Who gets excited about Halloween in July:
Neither, really. They’re too busy enjoying the summer!
Who starts wearing sweaters and scarves on the first day of September and completely overheats:
Yamato. She gets cold easily.
Who thrives in Fall/Who prefers Summer and warm weather:
Evens though she gets cold, Yamato loves the crisp air and the change in baking season. Fall makes Takeo feel a bit despondent, so if pressed he’d pick summer.
Who thinks the other looks so cute when they’re cold and trying to fight it with 50 sweaters:
Takeo, since Yamato’s more prone to it.
Who offers the other their jacket:
Takeo, more of a gesture than anything because Yamato can get all tangled and it’s not really practical… Nothing Yamato wears would ever fit him (she offers him her scarf a lot though)
Who doesn’t want to get out of bed in the morning because it’s too cold and has to run from the warm covers to the shower:
Yamato. Sometimes Takeo carries her to the bathroom door~
Who touches the other with their freezing cold feet at night:
Yamato gets cold feet, but Takeo barely notices.
Who makes the hot cider to snuggle under a blanket and drink: Takeo! He’s actually pretty good at making drinks.
Who loves carving pumpkins and buys about 300:
Who is terrible at carving pumpkins:
Who thinks pulling the pumpkin guts out with their hands is icky:
Yamato. She tends to not be around while Takeo empties the pumpkins, but she’s trying to get over it.
What is their favourite Fall activity:
Baking pumpkin bread, and pumpkin pie, and cookies, and chocolates for the trick-or-treaters, and… (Yamato’s the maker of course; Takeo’s always happy to brainstorm recipes with her.)
Who gets scared when they watch horror movies:
Takeo gets scared more often than Yamato does. Usually, though, they end up clinging to each other through the whole thing, all the while with brave faces, trying to convince each other that they’re totally not scared.
Who hands out candy to trick-or-treaters:
They both do, although Yamato takes the lead due to Takeo’s imposing stature etc etc
Who accidentally scares the kids:
Takeo. So, the same as the rest of the year XD
Who suggested the couples costume:
Their first couples’ costume required a round of serious discussion and Suna’s input…
What is their couples costume:
…but the winner was Gamagoori and Mako from Kill la Kill :D (they also convinced Suna and Ai to be Inamuta and Satsuki)
What is the best Halloween they ever had:
Their couples costume for the first year was such a hit, they were shocked. They got tons of candy and kept getting asked for pictures. Sure, they had other good Halloweens, but that first one set a high bar ^_^
What is the worst Halloween they ever had:
The one where the weather ruined any trick-or-treating. Which honestly wasn’t too bad; they ended up with Suna and the “Christmas gang” telling ghost stories and watching scary movies. You know they always find the silver lining!
Who eats too much candy and ends up sick the next day:
Usually Takeo. Unless they’ve gotten a lot of Kit-Kats, in which case Yamato’s the victim.
