Daniel softened looking at Sam "You have no idea how much I want that," he said reaching over to take her hand, pressing a soft kiss to her palm. "I want to be with you for the rest of your life... I just don't want you to regret wasting it with me."

Ellis opened the door and almost instantly closed it. "Not in the mood for you today Shithead," he said moving to block the view into his apartment. He had kept the two idiots in his life from meeting so far and he was not going to let them meet now. That was the plan at least. Then Daniel spoke "Ellis whose at the door?" And Ellis sighed as he heard the Incubus approaching. He looked at Ángel firmly. "Don't. You. Dare."

Daniel came up behind his friend looking down at him "El why-" he caught sight of the handsome man on the other side of the door and smiled charming and polite as usual. "Hey there. I'd ask if you're a friend of Ellis' but he doesn't have any other friends," he joked lightly.

He loved both Andrews brothers beyond reason. Cam was his heart and James was his brother. He wanted nothing more than them both to be happy. There was someone else he wanted to be happy to, Ellis another man who was like his brother. He had the feeling James and Ellis would bring out the best in one and other, James may soften Ellis and Ellis could maybe help James' confidence. He would lie if he said he didn't see the potential for more than friendship between them but that wasn't why he wanted to make this happen.

He talked to Cam a bit about it, Cam knew Ellis was... rough around the edges but didn't object to his idea of introducing them, trusting Daniel's judgement and knowing he wouldn't let Ellis hurt James.

So he had invited James to dinner with them, telling him he wanted to introduce him to someone. He had invited Ellis as well but told him a later time so he had some time with just James. They could eat a meal and Daniel could prep him some on Ellis. Had informed him how long they'd known each other, that Ellis was a vampire and now he had to warn James about his... demeanor. "So fair warning," he started as they ate. "Ellis... he's been through a lot. He can be an ass," he said bluntly. "It's bluster mostly but he can be rough. Doesn't excuse it so don't let him get away from it. He... needs more friends. And you're a pretty good friend to have," he explained.

"I'm fine really," Daniel tried to reassure though he wasn't entirely sure he was convincing. "I'm just... really hungry," the incubus admitted. Hungry was underplaying it, he was always hungry. But it had been awhile since he fed and he was at the point where his hunger was causing him actual pain. "You don't need to worry about me."

Ivy did her best to appreciate his technique, stay clinical while Daniel pulled her in a kiss that she was definitely not expecting to be like this. When she offered to practice this part for their cover she had assumed he would be soft, gentle, because, come on, even when he looked like he could kick someone’s ass in a second, his behavior around her had never shown he had this fire inside of him. So yeah, she was trying to analyze what he was doing but the surprise distracted her, this was how she had always liked her partners to kiss her but it wasn’t like she was about to compliment him for it. “Alright, that was… interesting” She said, licking her lips when he pulled away. “But if anyone sees a couple kissing like this they will remember them, and part of being undercover is trying not to be seen, not to be memorable” And yeah, a kiss like that would definitely be memorable. “Next time be more soft, more boring, more lame and less…. intense. If Johnson sees us kissing like this he will definitely remember our faces and chances that we run into him are high. A boring kiss won’t even catch his attention and if we are going to pass as a couple then we have to make this work”
